It takes some serious confidence, earned or misplaced, to take one of Lamborghini's greatest modern supercars and claim to have refined it thoroughly. The German firm Novitec has that serious confidence and a back catalog of achievement to go with it.At the top level, Novitec started with the aerodynamics, added the requisite carbon fiber parts, and given the Lamborghini Revuelto three new wheel designs. For good measure, Novitec's take on the Revuelto uses a Formula 1 tech-derived exhaust with an active sound management system, and adds a slight performance boost. In short, it's pretty cool. More Downforce And More Power, Please Novitec Lamborghini Revuelto The Lamborghini Revuelto went into production in 2023, so technology hasn't moved on that much since its debut. Still, Novitec put the supercar in a wind tunnel, and added front spoiler aero panels on either side, extra trim on the side, and a retractable rear wing. It may be a refinement in terms of adding front and rear downforce, but the exposed carbon fiber parts mixed with the new exposed carbon fiber hood and the pronounced lip spoiler give the Revuelto a less sculpted but more aggressive look. The wheels we're looking at here are the Novitec NL5 design, aerodynamically designed but styled by six spokes that split into the shape of a tapered Y. Adding the wheels to Novitec's tuned suspension, the Revuelto is lowered 25 millimeters. The paint color is a purple hue calling back to a Lamborghini Diablo SE 30 the brand showed off back in 1993, to celebrate the automaker's 30th anniversary. There's also a tailor-made surround between the taillights to show off the four new tailpipes at the end of the new exhaust system. There are two versions of the tailpipe, but its unlikely anyone spending this kind of money will want a steel system when the other is made of Inconel, the lightweight material often used in F1 racing. And to go completely over the top, the system can get a coating of 999 fine gold plating. The outside pipes are 120 millimeters in diameter, while the center two are 10 millimeters smaller. Not Messing With Perfection Novitec Lamborghini Revuelto Novitec hasn't touched the Revuelto's engine or the plug-in hybrid system, which combines a naturally aspirated V12 that makes an awesome 814 horsepower at 9,250 rpm. That's race car level power before adding three electric motors developing 184 hp each, and as much as 332 lb-ft of instant torque. The V12's 534 lb-ft comes raging in at 6,750 rpm, and in total, the system produces 1,001 hp and 534 lb-ft of twist.According to Novitec, upgrading the exhaust system with its "efficient sports catalysts" brings an extra 33 hp out of Lamborghini's V12, boosting total output to 1,048 hp. Though, once we convert the measurement to SAE standards, we get only 1033 hp. Darn. It's understandable that Revuelto doesn't want to mess with the Lamborghini V12's tuning or the hybrid system – it's going to be incredibly technical and Lamborghini likely hasn't left any power on the table while maintaining reliability. The Revuelto is Lamborghini's halo car, and the numbers matter for the brand here. Whether it's a sophisticated refinement of the Revuelto, we'll let you decide.Source: NovitecNOVITEC LamRevAero Pic03
