Mecum Previews Kissimmee 2027 With Corvette SR-1, Shelby Cobra and Bugatti MistralMecum Auctions is already building toward January, and the company used Monterey Car Week to show its hand. According to a Mecum Auctions press release distributed through Motor Sports NewsWire, eight standout automobiles were displayed at Mecum Monterey as a preview of the consignments already confirmed for Kissimmee 2027, billed as The World's Largest Collector Car Auction. The timing carries weight. Mecum says the 2026 Kissimmee event set a record with $450 million in total sales, the fifth straight year the annual sale has topped $200 million. The Monterey display is described as the first of many announcements to come. The Eight Cars Mecum Put on DisplayThe lineup spans eras and continents. The headliner for Corvette fans is a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette SR-1, one of just two known to exist. Two original Shelby competition cars sit alongside it: a 1965 Shelby 427 Factory Competition Cobra and a 1965 Shelby GT350 "R" Model. Shelby fans who prefer a street-driven take can see how a different car stacks up in our look at a no-reserve 1967 Shelby GT350.The European side of the display includes a one-of-a-kind 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Gangloff Coupé and a 1955 Ferrari Europa GT Speciale. Modern machinery is represented by a 2004 Porsche Carrera GT and a 2025 Bugatti Mistral. Mistral watchers may also want our report on another 2025 Bugatti Mistral that headed to RM Sotheby's in Monterey, and we covered a freshly restored Carrera GT that crossed the Mecum Monterey block.Rounding out the eight is the 1970 Chevrolet Corvette Baldwin-Motion Maco Shark Coupe, which represents Dan McMichael's Baldwin-Motion Collection, slated to be offered at Kissimmee as a headlining attraction. If Baldwin-Motion is your thing, see our story on the Baldwin Motion LS7 1969 Camaro SS. The renowned Sinless Motorcycle Collection features a 1958 Vincent Black Lightning and a 1937 Brough Superior MX100.
