Fernando Alonso Has Been Spotted in His Bugatti Veyron With a Unique Aluminum BodyGuessing HeadlightsHenry KelsallFri, September 18, 2026 at 4:45 PM UTCAdd us on GoogleImage Credit: @monaco_luxurystyle/InstagramFernando Alonso isn't having the best Formula 1 season. The performance of his Aston Martin F1 car has been somewhat lacking, mainly thanks to the Honda engine in the back of it. It shows no signs of getting much better, with just nine races remaining in 2026.However, it isn't all bad news for Alonso. The two-time F1 world champion has an amazing collection of cars at home that he can go out and enjoy driving, which are probably all more fun than his current Aston Martin F1 car.Recently, Alonso has been spotted in various cars around Monaco, and it has happened again. The Spaniard was seen at the wheel of his unique aluminum-bodied Bugatti Veyron supercar, cruising around the streets and just enjoying a pleasant day in one of his favorite cars.AdvertisementAdvertisementNaturally, onlookers were keen to catch a glimpse of him as he drove past. They also wanted a good look at the rather special car he was driving, with the aluminum body meaning his Veyron stood out from pretty much everything around it. If you want to grab the public's attention, this is one surefire way to do it.Alonso's Bugatti Veyron Is Very SpecialSeeing a double F1 world champion cruising around anywhere is special. But to see them do so in Monaco, in a unique supercar made by Bugatti, is even more special. The car in question is a Bugatti 16.4 Veyron Grand Sport, an open-top version of the regular car, which at the time of its launch was the fastest roadster in the world, thanks to its 254 mph top speed.Footage of Alonso driving his car was posted on Instagram, and it appears that it is a new car for the Spaniard. He already has vehicles such as a Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR and a Pagani Zonda Verde Diamante in his garage. Alonso's Veyron has a massive 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine under the hood, making 1,001hp but later versions would be able to make 1,200hp.Gone is the traditional two-tone color scheme on Alonso's car, however. Instead, he has given it an all-aluminum look, courtesy of a striking chrome wrap, that allows the car to wear its new look without taking the original paintwork off. Video of Alonso picking up the car from his Bugatti dealership has also been shared on Instagram, with the Spaniard looking quite happy with his new toy as he hops in and drives the car home. Remember, we are in Monaco, and this could almost be a familiar sight. This Isn't the Only Bugatti That Alonso OwnsImage Credit: Restricted9/YouTubeThis is far from the only Bugatti that Alonso owns. In July 2026, the Spaniard was seen driving in a gorgeous Bugatti EB110 GT. Finished in a gorgeous yet subtle maroon, this was another car that Alonso had apparently recently purchased. The footage made its way to YouTube and Instagram, and you can just hear the V12 howling away, even if the car is travelling at low speeds through Monaco. But it is a Bugatti EB110, so who cares how fast it is or isn't going?AdvertisementAdvertisementUnder the hood of the EB110 is a 3.5-liter quad-turbocharged V12 engine making 553hp and 451lb-ft of torque. It's not quite the same power as his Veyron, but it is still fast. In fact, the EB110 can go from 0- 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, and it has a top speed of 212mph. It certainly isn't slow, and it will provide a nice contrast for Alonso alongside his new Veyron. If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
