Gasgoo Munich-Leapmotor has announced that its first MPV model, the D99, will make its interior debut at the Greater Bay Area Auto Show opening on May 29. Built on the D platform, the "tech luxury flagship MPV" targets large families. Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings list its dimensions at 5,280 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, and 1,900 mm (1,880 mm) tall, with a 3,110 mm wheelbase. Styled with a bullet-train silhouette, the front end features million-pixel DLP projection headlights and comes in five paint finishes.On the powertrain front, the D99 offers both extended-range and pure electric versions. The extended-range variant features an 800V high-voltage platform and an 80.3 kWh battery pack, marking the industry's first application of dual-energy motor four-wheel-drive extended-range technology and CTC battery integration. The pure electric version utilizes a full-stack 1,000V electric system, paired with CATL’s 115 kWh super hybrid cells.Intelligent technology is the vehicle's centerpiece. The D99 introduces the industry's first cabin-driving integrated central domain control, featuring an on-device large-model smart cockpit powered by dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chips delivering 1,280 TOPS of computing power. It also incorporates a VLA large-model driver assistance system, capable of navigating both highway and urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functions.Inside, the D99 offers versatile seating configurations. All three rows can fold completely flat to create a bed, including combinations of the first and second, second and third, or just the third rows. It also features a "fishing mode." The second-row seats rotate 90 and 180 degrees and come with tray tables, while the third row stows fully into the trunk.
