Supercharged Ninja likely to debut at EICMAkawasaki teases a new ninja h2Kawasaki released a video teasing what we expect to be a new Ninja H2 for 2027. We first broke the news that an updated Ninja H2 was on the way, and Kawasaki's social media posts now all but confirm it.Read More:New, Less-Powerful Kawasaki Ninja H2 Coming for 20272020 Kawasaki Z H2 Review - First Ride2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 First Ride ReviewThe teaser video, shared over Instagram and as a YouTube short on Kawasaki Europe's channel, is relatively simple. Running just 12 seconds, the video includes the sound of a roaring engine and the phrase "Return To Beyond Belief." As awkward as that phrase sounds - the video title "A new chapter of "Beyond Belief" begins 👀" is only slightly better - the word choice was very specific.AdvertisementAdvertisementWhen Kawasaki first teased the Ninja H2 in 2014, it used the phrase "Built Beyond Belief." A follow-up teaser titled "Mysterious Sound" also featured the sound of a motorcycle over a black screen, with the words "Howling and Chirping" fading out into the Ninja H2 logo. Our earlier report did have a bit of bad news. Our information was based on new certification filings with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board indicating the 2027 Kawasaki Ninja H2 shares emissions data with the Z H2, which uses a less powerful version of the supercharged inline-Four engine. The naked Z H2 has a claimed output of 197 hp, compared to the existing Ninja H2, which is EPA-certified for 228 hp.kawasaki teases a new ninja h2While the lower performance figures may be disappointing, there is a reason for the change. While the current Ninja H2 is available in the U.S. and several other markets for 2026, it has been absent from Europe since 2021 because it does not comply with Euro 5 standards. The Z H2 however, along with the sport-touring Ninja H2 SX, have remained part of Kawasaki Europe's portfolio, with both models recently announced for the 2027 model year. Kawasaki undoubtedly decided to give the Ninja H2 the Z H2's engine tune in order for it to be allowed to return to the European market. That's little consolation to potential customers in the U.S., but Kawasaki is willing to bet any lost American sales will be more than made up for in Europe.kawasaki teases a new ninja h2Kawasaki's teaser does not provide a timeline for when the new Ninja H2 will be announced (likely along with a Carbon variant). We suspect the Ninja H2 will debut in November, at EICMA, the same place the original was revealed in 2014.Become a Motorcycle.com insider.
