Hennessey Built a Ram Rumble Bee with a 1000-HP V-8HennesseyHennessey Performance has teased a new ultra-high-performance street truck based on the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT.Called the Maximus, Hennessey says the bewinged Rumble Bee features a supercharged Hellcat V-8 with over 1000 horsepower and a claimed top speed of 200 mph.The Hennessey Maximus will be shown this weekend at Roadkill Nights in Pontiac, Michigan; production will start in the first quarter of next year.If your mind was blown when Ram revealed the 777-hp Rumble Bee SRT earlier this year, then your head is about to disintegrate when you hear about what the Hennessey team has done with that high-performance street truck. Taking inspiration from the famed Viper-powered Ram 1500 SRT-10, and using the mightiest Rumble Bee as the foundation, Hennessey has built a gas-fed pickup with a four-digit horsepower figure.HennesseyDubbed the Maximus, Hennessey has posted multiple teaser images on its social media channels of a pre-production version wearing camouflage. Still, the body wrap can't hide the tall rear wing that sprouts from the back of the truck's cargo bed. Hennessey says it took the SRT-spec Rumble Bee's standard Hellcat supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 and raised its peak output to 1000-plus horsepower. Not only that, but the Texas-based tuning firm also claims the Maximus has a top speed of 200 mph. That's 30 mph higher than the regular 777-hp Rumble Bee's targeted top speed.HennesseyWe're still waiting for Hennessey to unveil an undisguised version of the Maximus, but that might happen this weekend in Pontiac, Michigan. That's where Dodge's annual Road Kill Nights is being held, and it would also help kick off the state's weeklong Woodward Dream Cruise event.AdvertisementAdvertisementHennessey says production is slated to start sometime in the first quarter of next year. Considering the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT starts at $97,790—a price tag that rises by over $10,995 with the newly announced Direct Connection supercharger kit—we'd wager the Maximus will clear $125,000.
