According to the Hennessey Performance Instagram announcement, its answer is a supercharged monster appropriately named Maximus.The pre-production Maximus takes the Rumble Bee SRT's Hellcat-powered formula beyond the 1,000-horsepower mark, with Hennessey claiming 1,032 hp and 947 lb-ft of torque. The tuner is also targeting an estimated 200-mph top speed, which would put this pickup into performance territory normally associated with serious sports cars.Hennessey says the project draws inspiration from several pieces of American performance history, including the Ram SRT-10 and its own Viper-based Venom 650R. The changes reportedly include a higher-capacity intercooler, larger intake hardware, and Hennessey's own engine calibration.With those upgrades, the company estimates a 3.0-second sprint from zero to 60 mph and a 10.9-second quarter-mile. Those figures would make an already extraordinarily quick factory pickup even harder to explain using conventional truck logic.Hennessey Is Targeting 200 MPHThe headline number might actually be Maximus' estimated 200-mph top speed. Maximus also receives a hard tonneau cover intended to improve airflow across the bed.A Muscle Truck With Viper InfluencesThe visual changes continue with dedicated graphics, Maximus badging, 22-inch wheels, and a lowered air-suspension setup. Hennessey has also promised upgraded leather and Alcantara upholstery inside, along with branded details separating it from the standard Ram.Its inspiration stretches back to the Dodge Ram SRT-10, which famously put an 8.3-liter Viper V10 into a production pickup during the 2000s.
