The modified pickup truck has a starting price of $85,000. Fox Factory’s new Black Widow SR is a Chevrolet Silverado 1500-based beast that’s looking to take on the new 2027 Ram Rumble Bee. Joining an ever-growing list of high-performance half-ton pickups, the Black Widow SR sacrifices off-road prowess and some versatility in favor of improved muscle and handling. Of course, plenty of aftermarket specialists sell upgrades for the Silverado, boosting power and sporting all kinds of exterior updates. The key point of difference with Fox Factory’s Black Widow SR is that it sits much lower than a normal Chevy pickup, thanks to custom Ridetech coilovers. This transforms the look of any Silverado 1500, as do the road-focused 22-inch black wheels and massive 305/40 high-performance tires. Complementing the new suspension parts is a tailgate spoiler, flared fenders, updated grilles, hood vents, and a performance exhaust with black tips. After all, there’s no point driving around in a lowered pickup if it doesn’t look aggressive in the process, right? A Welcome Power Boost But this isn’t just a styling package. While Fox Factory will sell you one of its Black Widow SR’s with a regular 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm), for an extra $16,895, can add a 3.0-liter supercharger to GM’s 6.2-liter EcoTec V8, allowing it to deliver 675 hp and 655 lb-ft (888 Nm). In addition, upgraded Brembo brakes can be fitted, although at $4,895, they’re not exactly cheap. Don’t let the bold styling and lowered stance of these tuned Silverados fool you either, as they are still capable of doing lots of truck stuff. Fox Factory says examples with a tow package can haul up to 13,300 lbs (6,032 kg) and have a payload capacity of up to 1,980 lbs (898 kg). Several interior tweaks are also included as part of the Black Widow SR package. The seats have been reupholstered in diamond-quilted leather, and there are several spider accents throughout, including on the puddle lamps. Customers can also pay to have a retractable tonneau cover fitted. Prices for the most basic Black Widow SR from Fox Factory start at $84,685. A highly specced model, including custom paint, the Brembo brakes, a tonneau cover, a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, and other options, will run you upwards of $126,000.
