In France and Austria, customers can still configure the Honda e:Ny1, as reported by Autocar. Honda Motor Company developed the compact electric SUV specifically for Europe to meet growing demand for fully electric B-segment SUVs. However, the model has fallen short of expectations and failed to generate significant sales volumes in most markets.Technically, the e:Ny1 is based on Honda’s newly developed e:N Architecture F, a front-motor-drive platform. The electric motor in the model delivers 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque, paired with a 68.8 kWh battery, which provides a WLTP range of 412 kilometres. A standard charging session from 10 to 80 per cent takes a substantial 45 minutes. The motor in question is the EMR3 from Vitesco Technologies, which was no longer the German supplier’s most advanced model by 2023—its successor, the EMR4, was introduced as early as 2021. Despite featuring technology that was not the latest at launch and offering relatively modest ranges by 2023 standards, the e:Ny1 was priced from €47,590 in Germany, which was considered relatively expensive. Although the price was later reduced to €38,990, it still failed to attract customers.Journalists at the German portal InsideEVs reviewed the national registration data: in its launch year of 2023, when the Honda e:Ny1 was not yet widely available, only 266 units were registered in Germany. Registrations increased to 795 units in 2024, but dropped sharply to just 105 units in 2025—underscoring the model’s niche status.Honda has not yet issued an official statement regarding the discontinuation of the e:Ny1. However, the fact that the model has disappeared from the manufacturer’s website in many countries sends a clear message: the days of the e:Ny1 are likely numbered.autocar.co.uk, insideevs.de (in German)
