The Zeekr 8X officially launched in April and is currently in a production ramp-up phase, with deliveries currently limited to the H7 variant. The H9 variant is scheduled to begin delivery in July. Meanwhile, the larger Zeekr 9X has continued its remarkable run at the upper end of the market. The luxury plug-in hybrid crossover, priced at approximately 500,000 yuan (73,500 USD), has led the premium large SUV segment for seven consecutive months, accumulating 57,517 total deliveries in China since November 2025. Exterior The Zeekr 8X continues the brand’s current design language, featuring a large upright front grille, a split headlight system, and an integrated lidar unit on the roofline for advanced driver assistance systems. The overall styling emphasises a tall, wide stance and relatively clean surfacing compared with traditional combustion SUVs The vehicle measures 5100 mm in length, 1998 mm in width, and 1780 mm in height, with a 3069 mm wheelbase. This places it in the full-size SUV category, but it is slightly smaller than the Zeekr 9X flagship SUV. Interior Inside, the Zeekr 8X offers a cabin with a seamless dual-screen layout integrating the central control display and front passenger entertainment screen. Additional amenities include dual cup holders in the first row, wireless smartphone charging, and a column-mounted shift lever. Powertrain The Zeekr 8X is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged plug-in hybrid powertrain. The combustion engine delivers a maximum output of 205 kW, while a tri-motor mega-watt electric drive system provides a combined output of 1,030 kW (1,381 hp). The model is expected to feature the Haohan AI digital chassis and a 48-volt active stabiliser bar system. Two battery options are available: 55.1 kWh and 70 kWh, delivering pure electric ranges of 256 km, 257 km, and 328 km, depending on configuration. Intelligent driving The vehicle is equipped with the G-ASD G-pilot intelligent driving system, a joint development between Qianli AI and Geely, unveiled at CES 2026. Built on the Smart AI Agent architecture and WAM (World Action Model) behaviour system, G-ASD achieves integration across algorithms, data, and computing power. The Zeekr 8X was launched in mid-April, with 2,164 units sold during the month.
