Image: FarizonLet’s start with Farizon’s new V7E electric medium van, with which the Chinese company is extending its zero-emission light commercial vehicle portfolio for the UK market. According to the manufacturer, the van delivers ‘class-leading cargo capacity, payload and range, on a city-optimised electric platform that prioritises efficiency and ease-of-use.’The model is based on a skateboard chassis with the GXA-M drive-by-wire architecture, which replaces mechanical steering and braking linkages with electronic control systems. The company states that this enables “superior handling precision, faster response times, improved energy recovery stability, and a safer operational environment.”The van is offered in a single body configuration with two battery options: 50 kWh and 67 kWh. Both batteries are supplied by CATL. The platform integrates a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 110 kW and 230 Nm, paired with a 400-volt system. Pricing in the UK starts from £28,000.Range figures reach up to 295 miles on the WLTP City cycle and 204 miles combined for the larger battery, while the 50 kWh version achieves up to 210 miles city range. Energy consumption is rated at 15.3–15.5 kWh/100 km in urban conditions.Charging performance includes DC fast charging at up to 100 kW, enabling a 20 to 80 per cent recharge in as little as 18 minutes. AC charging at 11 kW allows a full charge in under five hours. The vehicle also supports vehicle-to-load functionality with a 2.2 kW output.Aerodynamic optimisation contributes to efficiency, with a drag coefficient of 0.27. The compact turning radius of six metres and front-wheel-drive layout are designed to support manoeuvrability in dense urban environments.Cargo capacity and fleet-focused designFarizon says it focused on packaging efficiency to maximise usable space within a compact footprint. The van measures 5m in length with a 3.2m wheelbase, enabling accommodation of up to three Euro pallets. Dual sliding doors and 270-degree rear doors support loading flexibility. The company states that the ‘intelligent packaging of the motor and skateboard platform enables an ultra-low cargo floor and larger cargo volume, while reducing the need for secondary steps.’ The cargo area measures 2.7m in length and 1.7m in width between the wheelarches. With a cargo volume of 6.95 cubic metres and payload of up to 1,338 kg, the V7E also features a 0.5m cargo floor height designed to support loading operations in urban delivery environments. The 2026 SV large van gets an upgradeIn parallel, Farizon has announced a series of updates for the 2026 model year of its SV electric large van, including the introduction of a new Core trim level and a range of technical and comfort enhancements. The updated models are available to order in the UK, with the SV Core starting from £39,000.The new Core variant is offered in L1 H1 configuration with 67 kWh or 83 kWh battery options and includes features such as heated seats, a heated multifunction steering wheel, a 360-degree surround view system and a full suite of ADAS functions. Higher trims add vehicle-to-load capability, payload monitoring, automatic wipers and a heated windscreen. The Farizon SV is available with battery capacities of 67 kWh, 83 kWh and 106 kWh, delivering up to 247 miles WLTP combined range. The electric drivetrain produces 170 kW and 336 Nm, with DC fast charging enabling a 20 to 80 per cent recharge in around 36 minutes.“Since we launched Farizon in the UK market a year ago, the SV has received many positive reviews, award wins, and a growing number of customers. But we’re not resting on our laurels, and the 2026 updates show how closely we’re responding to customer feedback,” sai Calum James, General Manager at Farizon Auto UK. “With more features, even higher standards and a wider model range to choose from, we’re focused on making it easier than ever for sole traders and fleet operators to switch to sustainable zero emissions solutions.”Farizon is launching the V7E in the UK through Jameel Motors, alongside the SV. Established in 2016 as part of Geely, the brand focuses on zero-emission commercial vehicles across trucks, vans and buses.https://farizonauto.co.uk/article/all-new-farizon-v7-e-the-born-electric-medium-van-designed-for-urban-logistics (V7E), https://farizonauto.co.uk/article/farizon-eases-the-load-with-new-core-trim-and-multiple-upgrades-for-2026-sv-large-van (SV large van)
