The setup enables it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.3 seconds. Range Rover’s electric SUV uses an “industry-leading” 118.5 kWh lithium-ion double-stack battery with 344 prismatic cells, providing an EPA-estimated 333 miles of driving range. Under WLTP conditions, it offers up to 372 miles. Based on an 800V electric architecture, the Range Rover Electric’s battery can charge from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes. It can also add about 136 miles of range in 10 minutes of charging. In North America, all versions have a built-in NACS port so that drivers can access Tesla Superchargers without a separate adapter. In the UK and Europe, JLR said drivers will have access to over one million public chargers. New tech, developed exclusively for the electric SUV, enables it to outperform the gas version in most areas. For example, the new Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) and Integrated Traction Management (ITM) controls motor speed within 50 milliseconds and manages slip up to 100 times quicker than an equivalent ICE vehicle. JLR said the Range Rover Electric can wade through up to 35.4″ (900 mm) of water, on par with the gas version. Range Rover also introduced a new app that allows drivers to manage climate functions, check the battery level, and schedule charging when the vehicle is plugged in.
