As part of the partnership, DHL Express Norway has fully migrated its existing depot charging infrastructure to the platform provided by Spirii. The aim is to reliably ensure the daily operational readiness of its electrified fleet while supporting further growth in electric mobility. The Spirii charging platform, which was majority-acquired by the French company Edenred in 2024, offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution. This includes infrastructure management, monitoring, billing, operational support, and coordination with hardware installers. The platform is designed to ensure high availability, transparency, and stable operations in logistics environments with continuous charging demands. At the core of the solution is Spirii’s Charge Point Management System (CPMS). This enables centralised control of all locations, real-time monitoring, and flexible access and pricing models. For example, DHL drivers can charge their vehicles free of charge using vouchers, while authorised third parties gain access at discounted rates via contactless RFID cards. The solution also supports public charging on the go: drivers can access external charging points along their routes using RFID or the ‘Spirii Go’ app.For DHL Express Norway, operational reliability and transparency were key priorities when selecting a partner. According to the company, the migration of its complex charging infrastructure was completed without disrupting daily operations—a critical factor in the time-sensitive express delivery business. With the new platform, DHL is laying the foundation for further expansion of its electric fleet while implementing scalable charging processes during ongoing operations.“By managing the entire charging operation, we ensure 100% reliable charging around the clock, with scalability to support DHL Express Norway’s continued growth of its electric fleet,” said Tore Harritshøj, CEO and Co-Founder of Spirii.“Together with Spirii, we ensured a stable transition with no impact on our day-to-day deliveries, while establishing a robust charging setup that supports both our current operations and future electrification plans,” added Terje Aarbog, Managing Director of DHL Express Norway. The DHL Group aims to reduce all logistics-related CO₂e emissions to net zero worldwide by 2050.via.ritzau.dk
