The roles span various levels, including operators, technical staff, quality inspectors, and management personnel. This expansion comes as the company experiences a significant surge in international demand. In 2025, BYD’s overseas sales of passenger vehicles and pickup trucks reached 1.05 million units, a year-on-year increase of 145%. For the first half of 2026, overseas sales reached approximately 789,400 units, up 70% year-on-year, with an annual target of 1.5 million units. Recruitment details and compensation The recruitment drive covers multiple departments within the Shenshan base: BYD 11th division (Xiaomo park): Seeking 4,800 employees for roles such as sheet metal workers, upholstery technicians, and warehouse staff. BYD 15th division (Xiaomo park): Seeking 1,200 employees for roles including assembly operators, welding technicians, and foaming technicians. BYD 15th division (Ebu park): Seeking 2,000 employees for roles including operators, machine adjusters, and welders. Compensation packages: General operators: Starting at 5,000 yuan (700 USD) per month. Technical/Specialised roles (welders, electricians, etc.): Up to 10,000 yuan (1,500 USD) per month. Senior technicians/Mould designers: Ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 yuan (2,200 to 2,900 USD) per month. The Shenshan BYD Automotive Industrial Park is a critical “super factory” for the company, producing popular mid-to-high-end models such as the Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 (FCB Ti7), as well as export-focused models like the Song Plus and Song Pro. Last year, the facility produced over 300,000 vehicles. Once fully operational, the park is projected to reach an annual output value of 220 billion yuan (32.4 billion USD). The company is actively localising production worldwide: Brazil: The local plant recently celebrated the production of its 100,000th new energy vehicle, with a workforce now exceeding 5,500. Hungary: Construction is underway on BYD’s first European passenger vehicle plant in Szeged. Thailand: The Rayong plant, BYD’s first overseas passenger vehicle base, is already producing five models: BYD Dolphin, Atto 3, Seal 5 DM-i, Sealion 5 DM-i, and Sealion 6 DM-i. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China’s vehicle exports exceeded 1 million units in June alone, with over 5 million units exported in the first half of 2026 – a 65.3% increase year-on-year.
