One of the best climate and environmental communicators of the last few decades, Bill McKibben, will be speaking at our Electric Home Show in Hawaii this weekend. To be honest, I wasn’t keen on promoting this much in advance, because the event is focused on helping people who live in Hawaii to live cleaner, greener lives that also save them money. It was not aimed at attracting outsiders to Hawaii to see Bill McKibben speak and take a vacation. That said, if you are in Hawaii, get tickets and come see Bill speak! Also, we will be recording the event, so stay tuned for a view from the event when we eventually get to sharing that. Bill will sit down with CleanTechnica cofounder Scott Cooney at 2:00pm for a fishbowl discussion, and then later at 5:30, the author of multiple best-selling books and founder of multiple global nonprofits will give a speech. Space is limited, and registration is required, but we look forward to seeing some of you there! Note that Bill is the author of more than twenty books, including the bestsellers The End of Nature, Falter, and Deep Economy. He is also the cofounder of 350.org and founder of Third Act, a project organizing people over sixty for progressive change. We look forward to seeing what Bill has to say, but far beyond this one speech, you can also subscribe to his newsletter, the world’s largest environmental newsletter: billmckibben.substack.com/. We also had a long conversation with Mr. McKibben for our Cleantech Talk podcast a few years ago that you may like to listen to if you never saw that, or revisit if you did:
