Image Credit: PorschePorsche recently showed off three very special one-of-one 911 sports cars, built to commemorate the release of Disney Pixar's latest edition in the Toy Story movie series, Toy Story 5. And best of all, they were auctioned off for charity. The cars were all bespoke to three of the main characters, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. Each of the cars was built by Porsche's Sonderwunsch division, which literally translates to 'special wishes.' This division is responsible for some of the best one-off cars ever made in Porsche history. The sports cars took six to eight months to complete, and the designers tried to be as faithful as possible to the characters from the films. At the end of the process, the three cars were sold off at auction, with the money all going to charity once the auction had concluded.AdvertisementAdvertisementAs it has turned out, just one single buyer ended up taking all three cars home. They have been bought by an anonymous Porsche collector, who paid an eye-watering amount for each car, with the money pledged towards charity. The new buyer said doing so for them was a natural fit.How Much Did the Three Sports Cars Sell For?According to Porsche, three cars sold for $1 million each. That means a total of $3 million for charities, with $1 million going to each one. The charities chosen are Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children's Foundation. The cars themselves, meanwhile, will head to the home of the Porsche collector, who also described how easy it was to decide to buy them."When we first learned about the project—the incredible cars and the work these charities do for children and families—we knew it was a natural fit," said the collector. In total, it took around 350 hours to hand-paint each detail, with the cars being a 911 GT3, a 911 Targa 4 GTS, and a 911 Carrera T. The charity donations ensure these are more than just another auction purchase, but something with extra meaning behind it.Porsche was asked to channel each character's personality when it came to creating the cars. This meant the process would involve far more than just slapping on some stickers, with fully bespoke finishes created to make these as high quality as possible. Porsche is no stranger to Disney tie-ins, having created a fully functional version of Sally Carrera from Cars, which raised a staggering $3.6 million for charity when it was auctioned off.Porsche Recreated Three Characters in 911 FormImage Credit: PorscheThe standout of the three cars is the 911 GT3 RS, which was chosen as the Buzz Lightyear car. This is finished in a gorgeous Space Ranger white and green, with the rear wing on the car painted to mimic Buzz's wings in the movies. Magnesium wheels feature custom Space Ranger center caps, and Porsche even rebranded the Goodyear tires as Lightyear with new sidewall lettering. A lovely touch is the 'To Infinity and Beyond' ingrained into the door sills.Image Credit: PorscheWoody, meanwhile, is a Porsche 911 Carrera T, complete with a manual transmission, a nod to the mechanical nature of Woody himself. This car features Golf Blue, Dark Sea Blue, and White colors, recreating the look of those famous blue jeans. Inside, there is a multitude of colors from vintage leather, red checkered patterns on the seats, and denim fabric. The door sills on this particular 911 read 'Ride Like the Wind,' a catchphrase Woody says to his horse, Bullseye.Sheriff Jessie Also Had the Toy Story-Porsche TreatmentImage Credit: PorscheAdvertisementAdvertisementLast but by no means least was Sheriff Jessie. Porsche chose a 911 Targa 4 GTS for her car, giving it an exclusive Porsche paint color. This is Jessie White Metallic, beautifully matched with Cobalt Blue Metallic accents. Atacama Yellow is visible on the hood and read decklid, while the targa bar badge now reads 'Jessie,' which is a lovely final touch. If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
