Mugen launched a tuning catalog for the updated Honda N-Box in Japan. Upgrades include sporty body kits, 15-inch wheels, and Yamaha dampers. The tuning kit follows the factory Honda Access options for the bestseller. A few weeks after Honda Access rolled out the optional Sporty Style for the updated N-Box, Mugen has stepped in with its own catalog of upgrades. The options include a sharper body kit, alloy wheels, interior pieces, and handling components, all without touching the turbo 660 cc engine. Visually, the Mugen kit builds on the upmarket N-Box Custom that picked up a more aggressive face last month, adding a black front splitter, upper grille garnish, lower grille decals, side skirts, and matching extensions for the rear bumper and rear spoiler. Both models can be retrofitted with 15-inch wheels in a Y-spoke design. Chassis upgrades are limited to a Performance Damper developed by Yamaha to cut vibrations and sharpen handling and stability. Buyers can also add window visors, branded floor mats and luggage mat, scuff plates, and door inner protectors. Mugen Despite looking like a pocket rocket, Mugen’s N-Box Custom keeps the 660cc three-cylinder engine untouched. The mill makes up to 63 hp (47 kW / 64 PS) in its most potent turbocharged form, as dictated by Japanese kei regulations, with power going either to the front or to all four wheels through a mandatory CVT. Pricing and Availability Mugen Mugen parts are available in Japan through local retailers and Honda dealerships. Its Motor Disagrees The wheels and wheel nuts add another ¥151,800 ($950), the Yamaha Performance Damper costs ¥71,500 ($450), and the interior bits retail for ¥106,700 ($670), bringing the entire Mugen catalog to ¥591,800 ($3,700).
