A man buys a used Lexus and turns on the CD player, only to find that the previous owner had exceptional taste. He wants to track them down to thank them. TikTok creator Huddy (@hkaneeq) posted a video explaining why on Feb. 2. The video is shot in the Lexus in question, a 2013 RX 350 F Sport he purchased at Jim Hudson Lexus of Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina, last May. "Alright, I need to figure out whoever owned this car before I did," he says. "Because they left this CD in there, and let me tell you, this changed my whole day around. So, thank you for leaving this in here. I really do appreciate it." Huddy shows viewers the CD. It looks like a copy of the "Crunk Hits" compilation album circa 2005. Viewers React To Man Finding A ‘Crunk Hits’ CD In Used Lexus In the comments section, viewers expressed delight at the unexpected Easter egg Huddy found inside his used Lexus. "Umm, you forgot to play us some songs from it, my guy," said one viewer. Huddy replied, "I got you. A few of the songs include ‘Yeah,’ ‘Salt Shaker,’ ‘My Neck, My Back’ (a classic), and ‘Slow Motion.’" A second person said, "Here for listening sessions in your car." "I traded in a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek years ago in Lee’s Summit, MO," said a third viewer. "I left a Salt N Pepa greatest hits CD in it. Still so sad about it. I hope someone’s shooping around still with it." Someone else said, "My 2013 Dodge Durango came with Rick Springfield’s discography on the hard drive." Can You Find Out Who Owned Your Used Car Before You? Huddy isn’t the only one wondering whether you can contact the person who owned your used vehicle before you did. But, for privacy reasons, there’s no easy way to get that information. You can pay for a vehicle history report, but that won’t include the names or private information of previous owners. A Reddit user asked the question on r/cars about a decade ago, and commenters confirmed there’s no foolproof way to find out this information. However, one person said it’s worth checking the glove box for old insurance cards or maintenance records. That could give you a name and potentially even contact information. One person said, "Usually no, but when I bought my car used the address was still in the NAV system and his name was on cards in the owner’s manual and kit that came with it new. I erased the address and tossed the card, though. Unless your car has a similar ‘whoops,’ I doubt you’ll be able to find out without a ton of work and calling around."
