The new model introduces a specialised lightweight handling package that reduces the vehicle’s weight by 25 kg while simultaneously generating an additional 25 kg of downforce. The exterior design retains the familiar silhouette of the 2025 model but incorporates several aerodynamic refinements. Key updates include an extended front splitter and side skirts, along with redesigned air intakes that increase airflow to the external radiators by 15% and the central radiator by 14%. Furthermore, the rear features a new louvred tailgate design, which contributes to a 10% improvement in brake cooling and a 30% increase in exhaust valve airflow. Lotus has also introduced a removable dark glass roof panel, allowing drivers to easily switch between coupe and convertible configurations, with the panel storable in a protective bag behind the seats. Inside, the cabin layout remains consistent with the 2025 model, featuring a digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen. The showcased vehicle highlights the “Hand Painted Pack,” which adds vibrant Tangelo orange accents to the interior, including the seatbelts, air vents, steering wheel trim, gear shifter, and centre console panels. Under the hood, the Emira 420 Sport retains the 2.0T engine in a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration. Power has been boosted to 313.2 kW (420 hp), with a peak torque of 500 N·m, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The vehicle’s handling is further sharpened by a 5 mm reduction in ride height and the inclusion of two-way adjustable Multimatic dampers. The Emira 420 Sport is currently available for pre-order in international markets with a starting price of 122,900 USD. Based on the domestic pricing of the Emira Turbo SE, the starting price for the new model in the Chinese market is expected to reach approximately 1,080,000 yuan (158,800 USD).
