The 2027 Lexus IS starts at $47,545, including the $1,395 destination charge. A new Envious green package pairs BBS forged wheels with matching interior stitching. All models retain a 311-hp V6, with rear-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. A good paint color can do a lot of heavy lifting. We’ve seen Dodge do it with the Durango, and now Lexus is giving the 2027 IS a green finish called Envious and a set of black BBS forged wheels. The familiar V6 sticks around, too. Just don’t expect the advertised $47,545 starting price to get you the green car. That figure buys the IS 350 F Sport Design, including a $1,395 destination charge. The Special Appearance Package is based on the more expensive F Sport, but Lexus hasn’t included its price in the latest announcement. There’s still a gap between admiring this particular IS and deciding whether it makes financial sense. The package’s headline feature is its exclusive Envious paint, paired with 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels. Inside, black NuLuxe upholstery gets Ultrasuede inserts, green stitching, and satin chrome-colored trim. It’s a coordinated treatment without turning the entire cabin into a matching tracksuit. Mark Levinson audio, a panoramic camera system, and triple-beam LED headlights are also included. Just 350 examples are planned for North America. Every 2027 IS uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 producing 311 hp (232 kW) and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque. Rear-wheel-drive models pair it with an eight-speed automatic, while all-wheel-drive versions make do with six speeds. The special package brings no additional power. Elsewhere, the changes are modest. F Sport Design models gain new 19-inch black and machined-finish wheels and a standard heated steering wheel. The cabin features a 12.3-inch infotainment display, alongside a digital instrument cluster of the same size. A 10-speaker stereo is standard, with a 17-speaker Mark Levinson system available. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 also comes standard, bringing adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure alert with steering assistance, and other driver aids. The pricing breakdown is straightforward. The IS 350 F Sport Design with RWD starts at $47,545. The IS 350 F Sport Design with AWD is $49,545 before options. The actual IS 350 F Sport kicks off at $49,845 with RWD and $51,845 with AWD. Lexus expects the 2027 IS to reach dealerships later this year. The green paint and forged wheels make a convincing first impression. Now we need to know how much Lexus wants for them. Photos: Lexus
