Lexus/dpaLexus has updated its NX crossover for Europe, introducing a range of enhancements including a boost to the plug-in hybrid's range.The second-generation car was launched back in 2021, as a successor to one of the brand's most popular models.As was the case with the launch model, this facelifted version is available with both plug-in and regular hybrid systems, with the former gaining a big boost in efficiency and range. Badged NX 450h+, the new plug-in hybrid benefits from an electric-only range of 100 km, representing a significant uplift on the previous car's 72-km range.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe changes have also meant a slight increase in power, while the NX's towing capacity has gone from 1,000kg in the previous car to 1,500kg.On the outside, the new car benefits from a redesigned 'frameless grille' which is integrated into the surrounding bodywork, while the front and rear lights have been given a fresher, slimmer look. At the rear, the Lexus logo is illuminated.As before, a range-topping F-Sport model brings a more dynamic look through 20-inch wheels, and a variety of bodywork upgrades including a roof spoiler, roof rails and lower bumper areas finished in gloss black.Inside, there's a 14-inch infotainment screen, which sits next to a 12.3-inch combimeter to help make reading all key information as easy as possible. Concealed 'Responsive Hidden Switches' aim to give the cabin a cleaner look overall, hiding when out of use but responding with physical feedback when touched.Lexus is expected to announce full pricing for the NX range shortly.
