Lexus made tweaks to the chassis of the 2027 RX. The updated SUV has only been launched in Japan. Lexus sells the RX in RX350, RX350h, RX540+, and RX500h guises. The Nürburgring Nordschleife is normally a playground for sports cars, exotics, and track-focused hot hatches, not normal family SUVs. However, in developing several updates for the popular RX, Lexus turned to the famous German race track. In optimizing the RX, Lexus used its facility at the Nürburgring to make several chassis improvements, boosting stability and ride comfort. The Japanese brand says Green Hell served as the ideal location to fine-tune these changes thanks to the circuit’s undulations and inconsistent surfaces. That probably means very little to the vast majority of people in the market for an RX, but it’s music to our ears. Lexus has made several other minor changes to the RX. For example, it now includes new infrared-cut front door glass with improved heat-blocking technology. The brake hold function has also been updated with a memory function. There’s now a digital rearview mirror on the RX350 and RX350h models, and front and rear dashcams are standard.
