Lexus Announces Pricing and Full Specs for 2027 TZLexusLexus announced pricing and specs for the 2027 TZ, an electric three-row SUV.The TZ450e starts at $64,050 and makes 308 horsepower, which is less than the 402-hp output that Lexus previously announced. The TZ450e Premium will arrive late this year, with the Premium Touring and Luxury trims coming early in 2027.Toyota, Subaru, and Lexus are all launching new vehicles on the same three-row electric SUV platform, and now it appears the 2027 Lexus TZ will be the first of these models to arrive in the U.S. Lexus announced pricing for the TZ and said the first models will arrive late this year, while the Toyota Highlander and Subaru Getaway have been delayed and are now scheduled to arrive in 2027 for the 2028 model year. The 2027 Lexus TZ starts at $64,050 for the TZ450e Premium version that will be the first to hit showrooms. While Lexus originally announced this model would have a dual-motor powertrain with 402 horsepower, that number has now been revised down to 308 horsepower. The Premium trim comes with a 77-kWh battery pack that will provide a claimed driving range of 253 miles per charge.Lexus will offer a "Performance Upgrade" that brings the full 402-horsepower output that was originally advertised when the SUV was revealed. Unlocking the full output is taken care of by Lexus dealerships and is limited to only the top Luxury trim.LexusThe TZ450e Premium Touring, starting at $72,050 and arriving in early 2027, has the same dual-motor setup but adds a larger 96-kWh battery pack that affords a longer 315-mile range estimate. The TZ450e Luxury sits at the top of the lineup with its $80,550 starting price and offers a bit less range (279 miles) due to its 22-inch wheels, versus the Premium Touring's 20-inch wheels.Lexus has also launched the build-your-own configurator tool for the TZ. Though we don't yet know how its price will compare to its Toyota and Subaru siblings, its starting price sits closer to the mainstream end of the three-row electric SUV segment, as the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9 both start just north of $60,000. Luxury competitors such as the Cadillac Vistiq and Volvo EX90 start in the high-$70,000 range and have higher trim levels that go well above the loaded TZ's price.➡️ Skip the lot.
