Japan’s Novel has released several updates for the popular Lexus GX 550. Key features include revised front and rear lip spoilers. All of these parts are available with free shipping across the US. If you want to drive around in a big SUV other than a Mercedes-Benz G-Class that’ll make you feel like a mafia boss, the Lexus GX 550 is the logical choice. With a striking design, plenty of power, and solid off-roading credentials, it’s one of the best products that Lexus currently sells. Now it can be made even better. Japanese firm, Novel, sells body kits for several different Lexus and Toyota models and has just launched its first package for the Lexus GX 550. The upgrades won’t suit the very small proportion of GX owners who go off-roading, but for the vast majority who stick to well-paved roads, these tweaks help make the Lexus look a little sportier and more aggressive. Read: 2027 Lexus GX Gets More Features And A $1,565 Price Hike Things start at the front. Novel has developed a new chin spoiler that attaches to the standard bumper, made from lightweight fiberglass. This piece, priced at $1,560, is available across the lower 48 US states with free ground shipping, so any GX owner with some spare cash can buy it. Complementing the front lip spoiler are distinctive fender ducts behind the front wheels. They’re purely cosmetic and don’t provide any cooling or aerodynamic benefit, but they definitely look the part. They’re a little cheaper than the front lip, priced at $930. The final two additions are found at the rear. First is a unique under spoiler/diffuser that sits over the standard bumper, priced at $1,500. Unfortunately, Novel hasn’t addressed the ugly plastic tow bar cover. Completing the modifications are vertical fender ducts positioned to the sides of the taillights, making the GX appear slightly wider. These ducts cost $930. Novel sells several different upgrades and accessories for the GX, including new pod-style air filters, new wheel nuts, a Sard racing steering wheel, and a plug-and-play upgrade for the GX’s subpar audio system.
