(NewsNation) — Hyundai is recalling more than 96,000 Tucson vehicles because of a software error that can cause the instrument panel display to fail, federal regulators announced.The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall applies to 2025-26 Tucson, Tucson Hybrid and Tucson Plug-in Hybrid vehicles. Kidney, heart medications recalled due to 'foreign substance' "An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash," the NHTSA warned.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe instrument panel display software will be updated for free to remedy the issue, either over-the-air or by a dealer, according to the agency.
