A limited-time offer lowers this to 141,700 – 155,700 yuan (19,600 – 21,600 USD), alongside financing incentives and trade-in subsidies of up to 18,000 yuan. The pricing positions the model in the same range as conventional gasoline SUVs while introducing a full hybrid system that requires no external charging. Hybrid system rollout The model uses Geely’s i-HEV system, combining a 1.5TD four-cylinder engine with P1 and P3 electric motors and a 3-speed DHT transmission. Total system output reaches 230 kW. Geely previously disclosed that this hybrid system achieves a peak thermal efficiency of 48.41%, with fuel consumption in some applications dropping below 4 L/100 km. In the Monjaro i-HEV, WLTC fuel consumption is rated at 4.75 L/100 km. Power and operating modes The hybrid system operates across multiple driving scenarios. In urban traffic, the vehicle can run in pure electric mode, while city conditions enable series-parallel switching. At highway speeds, the engine provides direct drive, and under heavy acceleration, the engine and P3 motor operate together. Geely states that power response is improved compared with earlier hybrid systems, with acceleration response measured at 10 milliseconds. The vehicle reaches 0–30 km/h in 1.84 seconds and supports electric-only driving up to 66 km/h. Interior and architecture The Monjaro i-HEV retains the existing model’s design but integrates updated digital features. The cabin includes a 25.6-inch head-up display, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and dual 14.6-inch central screens powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chip. The vehicle is built on Geely’s GEEA 3.0 electronic architecture, which supports centralised computing and over-the-air updates in approximately 5 minutes. Market share reached 5.6%, up from 3.4% in Q4 2025. Industry push The Monjaro i-HEV is part of a broader rollout of Geely’s hybrid system across its “China Star” lineup, including the Preface sedan.
