There are 'official spyshots' of the car that have been revealed, and previous spyshots of the car have already given us an idea of the car's general shape. The i3 is a good preview of what to expect, but we all want to see the final product.So far, BMW hasn't announced an official launch date for the eighth-generation 3 Series, but the recent preview suggests it's not far away. For all we know, it's just weeks, or maybe even days, from now. That also means spy photographers are pulling out all the stops to spot an undisguised example.BMWGotchaWell, it took long enough, but the spy photographers' persistence finally paid off. We finally have some photos of the G50 3 Series without wearing any camo for the first time. Okay, before anyone gets too excited, it's not a photo of the entire car just yet, but we'll take anything at this point.AdvertisementAdvertisementSpotted by a Reddit user and in an Instagram post by Wilco Blok and Cochespias1, there are two photos of the car with an undisguised rear end. Ladies and gentlemen, take a good look now, as it'll become a pretty common sight in the coming months. It's an exciting first spot, for sure, and we can't wait for the official press photos to come out, as well as to see it in the metal.From what we can tell, it's the M350 model. The badge is a little blurry, but from what we can see, it has large wheels, a quad-pipe exhaust arrangement, a subtle trunk lip spoiler, and a diffuser. All in all, it's slimmer and possibly better-proportioned than the electric i3, although it does have the same pop-out door handles that will be banned anyway in China. The only thing missing now are photos of the car's front end.What to ExpectGlobally, we expect a range of mild-hybrid gas and diesel models, along with at least one plug-in hybrid option to keep European regulators happy. Of course, the full EV is handled by the i3, and we're also looking forward to the pure-combustion M3.The M350 is now pretty much confirmed. It still has the B58 inline-six turbo, but it now makes more power compared to the already-potent M340i. The boosted six now puts out 443 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque, so it now makes even more horses than an E92 M3 from nearly 20 years ago. We expect 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds.AdvertisementAdvertisementWith that in mind, the 318, 320, and 330 might get more power, and the same goes for the rest of the diesels and the plug-in hybrid.
