The Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on Formula 1’s calendar through at least 2037 after a new deal was reached.The development was a formality, owing to Formula 1’s long-term commitment to the city, having built its permanent pit structure on land it acquired several years ago, while Formula 1 itself is the promoter of the event. Clark County commissioners last month approved a motion to recognize the Las Vegas Grand Prix through 2037 an extension on the previous expiration date of 2032. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) have now also committed to the grand prix through 2037 inclusive. Las Vegas, which held two unsuccessful grands prix in the early 1980s, rejoined the calendar in 2023, with the majority of the circuit utilizing public roads, most prominently a section of the famous Strip. The event, held at night but shifted forwards by two hours in 2025, is set to continue to be held across the weekend prior to Thanksgiving each November. It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community. “We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market.”In a statement Formula 1 outlined that the three editions of the Las Vegas Grand Prix have delivered a cumulative economic impact of $3.2 billion for southern Nevada.Las Vegas’ extension solidifies the three American races on the calendar for the long-term.Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, home of the United States Grand Prix, has a contract through 2034, while the Miami Grand Prix—now five years into its event—is contracted through 2041.
