Ford will have to recall a wide range of popular models for a second time. The automaker has the unpleasant title of marque with the most recalls for 2025, with 2026 looking well in hand as well. Though the brand has pledged to improve quality control in future models, that does little for owners with vehicles on the road currently. The car's canister purge valve could malfunction and stick open, causing excessive vacuum in the fuel system. If that happens, engines could stall and fail to restart. Fuel tanks may also reform.2018 Ford Focus, 2013-2016 FusionFord Focus and Fusion vehicles may suffer from excessive clutch slip, which leads to premature wear and even overheating. If the latter occurs, the pressure plate in the transmission could break. Fragments may cause holes in transmissions, too.
