Image Credit: Roush.A Ford Super Duty already delivers the size, towing capability, and road presence expected from a heavy-duty pickup, but Roush Performance decided to turn it up to 11 by fitting bigger tires and a suspension better suited to leaving pavement behind. Its updated Super Duty package has returned for the 2027 model year, available on select Ford F-250 and F-350 configurations. Pricing starts at $21,399 on top of whatever buyers spend on the underlying Ford. That money doesn't buy additional horsepower, which might surprise anyone familiar with Roush's history of extracting extra performance from Ford engines. Instead, the company has concentrated on suspension, tires, brakes, clearance, and a substantial collection of visual changes.Several pieces are new for 2027, including different wheels, a redesigned illuminated grille, and a shorter front air dam. The result is aimed at owners who still need their Super Duty for towing or work but want additional capability once the pavement disappears. The 35-Inch Tires Are Just The BeginningThe centerpiece is Roush's Performance Suspension System, which the company says improves ride quality, stability, handling, and off-road performance without sacrificing the truck's heavy-duty utility. It's paired with 35-inch General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires measuring 325/60R20.Those tires wrap new 20-inch gloss-black Roush Off-Road wheels. Slotted brake rotors are fitted at all four corners to help manage heat under demanding use, while diesel-powered trucks receive a Roush DPF-back performance exhaust.Roush also shortened the front air dam for 2027. The company says the change improves clearance and gives the modified Super Duty a 25-degree approach angle, which should be useful when something steeper than a job-site curb appears ahead. You Probably Won't Mistake It For A Stock F-250Image Credit: Roush.Subtlety isn't really the objective here. The front receives a gloss-black illuminated high-flow grille, while Roush fender flares add visual width and incorporate their own accent lighting. There are also rear marker lights and Diode Dynamics bumper floodlights, along with hood, door, rocker, and tailgate graphics. Buyers wanting even more decoration can choose an optional graphics package with either silver or red accents.Inside, Roush adds carbon-fiber trim, its own floor liners, branded key fobs, and an individually serialized console badge. Premium Roush leather upholstery is optional, as are Diode Dynamics ditch lights and a Roush Ready Package containing an off-road utility kit and secure center-console vault. The Engine Stays StockImage Credit: Roush. For all the hardware included in the $21,399 package, Roush doesn't advertise any increase in engine output. Whatever power the finished truck makes depends on the Ford Super Duty configuration underneath it.That makes this a different proposition from some of the company's horsepower-heavy creations. The focus is on making the F-250 or F-350 more capable off-road while retaining the towing, payload, and everyday usability buyers expect from a Super Duty.Every conversion comes with a certificate of authenticity and is covered by a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. At more than $21,000 before buying the donor truck, it isn't a cheap transformation, although 35-inch tires, upgraded suspension, and unmistakable Roush styling ensure buyers aren't paying for a badge alone. If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
