Corvette ZR1X has smashed the production car record at Pikes Peak. 1,250 hp all-wheel drive supercar raced up the mountain in 9:30.104. Ford took the overall win as Super Mustang Mach-E had a time of 8:18.202. The 2027 Corvette ZR1X has annihilated the production car record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. JR Hildebrand raced up the 12.42 mile (20 km) long course in 9:30.104, which beat the previous time of 9:53. Chevrolet has remained strangely quiet about the feat, but beating the record by 23 seconds is a huge achievement. However, there was little doubt the ZR1X would post an impressive time as the all-wheel drive supercar has a 5.5-liter V8 engine and a front-mounted electric motor that work together to produce a combined output of 1,250 hp (932 kW / 1,267 PS). That monumental figure enables the car to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 1.89 seconds when equipped with the ZTK Performance Package. Mobil 1 In other Corvette news, Emelia Hartford was named ‘Queen of the Mountain’ as she became the “fastest woman ever to complete The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.” Hartford piloted a 2026 Corvette to the summit in 10:11.018, which beat the previous record of 10:17.538, which was held by Laura Hayes. Ford Takes The Top Spot This year’s overall winner was Romain Dumas, who blew away the competition with an impressive time of 8:18.202. That was more than 11 seconds faster than second-place Robin Shute. Dumas drove the Super Mustang Mach-E and delivered Ford their second overall Pikes Peak victory. The model has a 50 kWh battery pack and a tri-motor powertrain producing more than 1,400 hp (1,044 kW / 1,419 PS). Ford
