Two new scooters are expected in Malaysia in April, the 2026 Royal Alloy GT125S and GT160S, with provisional pricing below RM10,000 and RM13,000, respectively. Called the “New Generation Classic” by Royal Alloy, the GT125S and GT160S are targetted towards the younger rider who wants a retro style scooter with modern conveniences. Both the GT125S and GT160S carry a Euro 5+ compliant, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine, displacing 124 cc and 158 cc. The 125S produces 13.4 hp at 8,500 rpm with 12 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, while the GT160S gets 16.09 hp at 8,500 rpm with 13.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Wheel sizing for both GT scooters from Royal Alloy is 12-inches, wearing 120/70 tyres front and rear, and we can expect to see the GT2 in Malaysia in a range of vibrant colours. Suspension is done with telescopic front forks in front, and twin shock absorbers adjustable for spring preload at the back. Single hydraulic disc brakes are fitted from and rear, with braided steel hoses and ABS is standard equipment. No word yet on if Malaysia is getting the “square” headlight version or the “round” but riding information is displayed on an LCD instrument panel, with, as the naming indicates, the “square getting a rectangular LCD and the “round” with a… round screen. Ridinng conveniences include keyless start and a USB charging port for the rider’s electronics, with a storage compartment found under the seat suitable for a 3/4 jet helmet. Weight for the GT125S and GT160S is listed at 145 kg, while the fuel tank carries nine-litres, and seat height is set at 750 mm.
