The 2026 Vespa Primavera and 2026 Vespa Sprint S lineups will receive rear disc brakes and LCD screens (finally). These Vespa’s smallest model lineups which include 50cc, 125cc, 150cc, and EV variants have been using drum brakes at the back for the longest time. But the world’s scooter market has been marching to a different beat, featuring all sorts of modern er… features. That is the strongest proof that you buy a Vespa because it is a Vespa. It is good that Vespa is also stepping up. Besides rear disc brakes, both the 2026 2026 Vespa Primavera and 2026 Vespa Sprint S lineups will also be equipped with LCD screens. If you opt for the Primavera Tech, you will receive a full-colour, 5-inch TFT screen, which includes the Vespa MIA multimedia platform as standard. However, the MIA platform is also available as an option for the non-Tech variants. Additionally, keyless operation is also standard for these 2026 models, apart from the 50cc variant. There are visual differences, as well, such as the redesigned 12-inch wheels with 5 split spokes. The Sprint S has a new 5-slot grille detail on the left fairing. The Primavera, on the other hand, has a redefined mudguard. The previously deleted bag hook also returns for 2026. Note to all manufacturers: This is a small but great feature, especially for us Malaysians who typically like to ‘ikat tepi‘. Colours for the Primavera lineup include Bianco Innocente, Nero Convinto, Verde Amabile, Blu Energico, or Beige Avvolgente on the standard ICE models. There are special dedicated styling upgrades for the Primavera S, and choice of colours are Bianco Innocente or Giallo Disinvolto. Finally, the Vespa Primavera Tech are in Blu Energico Opaco or Grigio Ottimista Opaco. As for the Sprint S, available color options are Bianco Innocente, Rosso Coraggioso, and Blu Eclettico on the ICE versions. For the EV Elettrica, and you can choose from Nero Convinto Opaco or Verde Ribelle.
