Buzz, neither are called the California. It's the first time the California has ever been electrified in its nearly 23-year-long history.The most affordable VW California yetAlthough based on the ID. Buzz California Cruise is similar to some of the van's other camper-focused offerings, it still separates itself from the rest in number of ways. For instance, the new variant serves as the California lineup's entry point, below the Caravelle and the full-fledged Transporter-based variant.The ID. Buzz does forgo one of the California's most definitive features, which would be its powered pop-up roof tent. Buzz California still comes with bespoke features. Buzz California Cruise essentially standardizes all the extra kit from the "Good Night Package" in a name and package everyone's familiar with.Volkswagen says the ID. Buzz California will be showroom-ready by the end of this year, with deliveries commencing in early 2027. Pricing starts at €60,761, or roughly $70,543 USD at today's conversion rates.However, the company didn't announce any specific plans to offer the California trim outside of Europe.
