GMC just uploaded a video to its YouTube channel featuring some seriously killer supercars lined up to see which can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph the fastest. With an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, Challenger Hellcat, Porsche Taycan, Ferrari F8 and Ford GT on the starting line, no one’s shy about declaring which car they think will win. When they take off, it looks like the Ferrari and Porsche dart out to the front to claim the victory race after race. Then it hits you; the camera vehicle is beating the brakes off of everyone. Hummer EV Eats Supercars In 0-60 Race GMC / YouTubeThe Hummer has never been a car that makes much sense. While Humvees have always commanded nothing but respect, the Hummer has received more than its share of ridicule over the years. The new Hummer EV has been no exception. However, GMC’s latest upload of it taking on a fleet of supercars reminds the world that the thing that makes the least sense about it is how absurdly quick the 2026 Hummer EV is. General Motors has never held back when it comes to bragging about the acceleration capabilities of this absolute monster. The first time I’d ever seen one in person was at a car show and drag race event where the Hummer EV darted down the quarter-mile, beating some respectable competitors of a much smaller stature. This clip takes things to a whole new level.GMC / YouTubeThe video features the 2026 Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition. This thing is putting down an incredible 1,160 horsepower. This is enough to sling the monolith from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. It’s hard to comprehend how ridiculously quick that is, especially for something of this size. This stunt does an excellent job of putting it into perspective, as some of the most celebrated cars in the world for their acceleration struggle to keep up with a machine that’s 2- to 3-times their size and much, much less aerodynamic. To add insult to injury, a final race is conducted. Only because the Hummer EV beat the others so badly that they started it from a car length back. Still, the Hummer pulls out front, snatching the win once again. Not Bad For A 10,000-Pound Beast GMC / YouTubeNo, the Carbon Fiber Edition doesn’t do much to shave weight off the monstrous Hummer EV. With a focus mostly on aesthetics, these rigs still weigh in around 9,600 pounds without the driver and filming equipment. That makes it hard not to respect just how quick the Hummer is, even if there’s a clear bias to make it look as good as possible here. Of course, things change outside of this short dash. The Hummer isn’t nearly as nimble or stable as the rest of the cars at high speeds, but it’d still put up a heck of a fight through even a quarter-mile run, with the ability to clear the 1320 in as little as 11.6 seconds.
