It was built to mark 75 years of the marque doing business in Australia.Porsche 911 Turbo S Land Down UnderThe one-off's most head-turning feature, without a doubt, is its unique finish. At a glance, the Land Down Under looks like a shiny silver 911, but a closer inspection reveals dual ChromaFlair color gradient paintwork that actually transitions between Southern Cross Blue above the shoulderline and Terra Australis Red. Porsche says the finish was applied by hand and took over 300 hours to complete. Rounding out the exterior details are hidden hand-painted graphics courtesy of Sydney-based artist Werner Bronkhorst and a set of staggered 20- and 21-inch Turbo Exclusive wheels.Inside the vehicle, the cabin is covered in a bespoke mixture of Dark Night Blue and Coolibah Brown leather, the latter a hue developed specifically for this car. The space is also equipped with 18-way adaptive sport seats featuring 14,417 perforations organized to form a coherent visual pattern and a headrest with a special 75th anniversary logo. The standout interior detail, though, is an embroidered headliner that depicts what the Southern Hemisphere sky looked like over Uluru in 1951, Porsche's first year in Australia.The 911 Turbo S Land Down Under's embroidered headlinerThe 911 Turbo S's powertrain has been wisely left untouched. The two-door is powered by a hybrid-assisted 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat six that makes 710 hp and 590 ft lbs of torque. Thanks to all that electrified grunt, the car can shoot from zero to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 200 mph.AdvertisementAdvertisementPorsche didn't say how much the 911 Turbo S Land Down Under costs, which is standard operating procedure with special projects like this.
