Last but not least will be the 911 nameplate, which Leiters said Porsche will lean into with high-end variants to pad the bottom line with margin, though we might also see lower-end variants trimmed in the process. The electric halo model is a three-motor EV with crazy proportions, striking design, and only 60 units will be made. [The Drive] 🪫 Sales of the electric Dodge Charger Dayona have crated with less than 800 deliveries in 2026. The world’s only electric muscle car is looking like a flop. [InsideEVs] ⏸️ Production of the next-generation Honda CR-V has reportedly been delayed by three months. Production will now commence in April 2027. Additionally, production of the next-generation Civic in Indiana has reportedly been cancelled to free up space for more CR-Vs to be bolted together. Civic production in Ontario will remain as it is today. [Automotive News] 🇨🇳 As congress weighs its options on blocking Chinese automakers from the U.S. market the CEO of Volvo, Håkan Samuelsson, said the automaker ideally would lower its costs by sharing more parts with its majority owner, Geely, a Chinese automaker, while also continuing to sell its cars in the West. Samuelsson noted that sharing mechanical parts, such as brake calipers or air-conditioning compressors, shouldn’t be an issue while still maintaining separate software from its Chinese partner. The siblings have received another update as they live their ninth life with the addition of an interior camera for a driver monitoring system tied to European safety regulations. [Motor1] 🔋 The Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback is now not just a rebadged Nissan Leaf, it’s a more expensive iteration. The Eclipse Sportback is over $8,000 more expensive than its Nissan-badged sibling. Details are slim, but reportedly only one option package will be available on the Mitsubishi, a $2,600 Technology Package.
