Porsche Celebrates 'Toy Story 5' with Three 911sPorsche (Porsche)Porsche and Pixar have teamed up for a trio of one-off Porsche 911 sports cars, each representing a main character from the Toy Story franchise.Buzz Lightyear is depicted as a GT3 RS wearing his trademark white, green, and purple color scheme, while Jessie is a Targa 4 GTS with cow-print floor mats and a paint job that mimics her outfit.Woody, a Carrera T, features special textured paintwork meant to look like denim. The three cars will be sold as part of a broader charitable initiative. When you think of Porsche and Pixar, you probably picture Sally Carrera, Lightning McQueen's love interest and moral compass in Cars. But now there's another reason to associate the two iconic brands: Porsche has created three one-off 911 sports cars to celebrate the release of Toy Story 5, each representing an important character in the storied franchise.Porsche (Porsche)The project began in 2024, when Pixar production designer Bob Pauley and Pixar creative director of franchise Jay Ward approached Porsche with the idea at Monterey Car Week. They had already collaborated with Porsche on the Sally Special, a one-off inspired by Sally Carrera that was auctioned for charity. Work on the Toy Story cars began in earnest last fall, led by the team at Sonderwunsch, Porsche's "special wishes" program that has built everything from a one-off 993 Speedster to a refinished Carrera GT wearing a 1970 Le Mans–inspired livery. Not as serious as Sonderwunsch's typical fare, each Toy Story car is littered with fun Easter eggs that will make Pixar fans grin from ear to ear.Porsche 911 GT3 RS "Buzz Lightyear"Buzz Lightyear is represented by a 911 GT3 RS painted in a white, green, and purple livery that emulates his space suit. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger logo appears on the hood, below the side air intake, and on the center caps for the white-painted magnesium wheels, and all of the exterior graphics seen here, and on the other two cars, are painted on, not stickers. Porsche even painted the hood louvres blue, green, and red on the left side to mimic the buttons on the front of Lightyear's suit.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe wheels, meanwhile, are wrapped in custom Goodyear tires wearing "Lightyear" branding and feature the Space Ranger logo and Lightyear's catchphrase, "To Infinity and Beyond." This special GT3 RS is fitted with the track-ready Weissach package, and the rear wing wears green endplates, a purple plane, and a plane in a Fire Red and white striped pattern, which also appears on the bodywork that is revealed when you open the doors. The color scheme continues inside, with the seats, door panels, and dashboard finished in Pebble Grey leather and Arctic Grey Race-Tex upholstery and accented by green stitching and green seatbelts. The upper sections of the seats are wrapped in Violeta leather, with a Space Ranger logo embroidered in the headrest. There's also a Buzz Lightyear motif silhouette on the dashboard, while the door sill plate reads "To Infinity and Beyond."Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS "Jessie"Jessie is depicted as a 911 Targa 4 GTS, painted in a brand-new color called Jessie White Metallic, which features a pearl overlay, inspired by the pearl buttons on her western-style shirt. The lower sections of bodywork are painted 944 Cobalt Blue Metallic to represent her jeans, while the upper part of the hood and rear decklid echoes the top of her shirt in Atacama Yellow with GTS Red curlicues.A red Targa top acts as Jessie's hat, with beige piping along the edges. The Targa badge has also been replaced by "Jessie," written in the same script, and the car rides on special gold wheels. There's also a horse logo on the front left fender, styled like the Bullseye character from Toy Story while emulating the Mobil Pegasus decal seen on many vintage Porsches.AdvertisementAdvertisementInside, the cabin features leather in Dark Night Blue, Bordeaux Red, and Pebble Grey, and the white sections of the seat feature red curlicue embroidery that mirrors the look seen on the car's exterior. A sheriff's badge is embroidered in the headrest, and a "WR" logo is seen on the center armrest, representing the fictional "Woody's Roundup" show that Jessie hails from in the Toy Story universe. The seat centers and door panels are shod in a fabric made to look like denim, developed specifically for the Jessie and Woody cars. The floor mats have a black-and-white cowhide pattern, and the doorsills say "YEE HAW!" in illuminated lettering.Porsche 911 Carrera T "Woody"Last but not least, Woody is embodied by this 911 Carrera T. The most interesting feature on Woody is the paint, which was designed specifically for this car to mimic the texture of denim. The main color is Dark Sea Blue, but Porsche also mixed in Golf Blue and white and even pressed a large piece of denim into the paint to create the textured effect. The front fascia and lower rocker panels are painted Coffee Black, and the front spoiler lip is painted in Aurum. Fire Red graphics on the door feature Woody's name, and the car also wears custom black-and-gold wheels. The Bullseye horse emblem is present here too.Inside, the seatbacks and door panels feature Speed Yellow inlays with a printed red checkered pattern, just like Woody's shirt. The rest of the cabin has a brown vintage leather look, meant to look worn and used, like Woody is after years of love and play. There's also Dark Night Blue leather, with brown stitching, and the front seat centers feature the denim fabric also seen on Jessie. The cowhide floor mats are here too, and the doorsills read "Ride like the wind." There are also several stickers on the rear side window, including a Dinoco decal as a nod to the Cars franchise.AdvertisementAdvertisementToy Story 5 premieres tonight in Los Angeles, ahead of a widespread theatrical release on June 19. The vehicles will be sold in the coming weeks as part of a broader charitable initiative with three charities: Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children's Foundation.➡️ Skip the lot.
