iSeeCars recently published a pretty cool study on the used car market, finding surprisingly little overlap between the fastest-selling used models and the top-selling new cars, trucks, and SUVs. For instance, would you believe that the Ford F-150 doesn't even make the list? Note that this list tracks how long vehicles are staying on the dealer's lot, and not overall sales volume, but even so, it illustrates that the new and used marketplaces are two very different spheres. The following is based directly on data from a study by iSeeCars. Models are listed from slowest to fastest-selling based on how many days they tend to spend on a dealer lot before being sold. Additional data on pricing has been sourced from our own price tracking tool, and from recent used car listings and sales. Hyundai Elantra N The Performance Hyundai Stays On The Market 0.7x As Long As Average 2026 Hyundai Elantra N TCR EditionThe Hyundai Elantra N is one of only three conventional gas-powered vehicles on this list, meaning they run solely on combustion, with no electrification to help them along. This car sets the tone for fast-selling ICE vehicles, as a high-powered performance model. A 2023 Hyundai Elantra N packs a turbocharged 2.0-liter straight-four cranking out 276 horsepower, clearing 60 mph in as little as 4.8 seconds with launch control.Base models from 2023 are trending at more than $10,000 below their initial MSRP of $32,900, with some models selling for under $20,000. The DCT models with launch control initially sold for $34,400, and are selling for as little as $20,850 according to our own price tracking tool. Tesla Model Y The Electric SUV Stays On The Lot 0.6x As Long As Average 2026 Tesla Model Y StandardThe Tesla Model Y is one of three models that made the cut after the brand's recent streamlining announcement. The soon-to-be-retired Model S did not make this list, nor will it be available as a new car for the 2027 model year. The Model Y is one of a select few vehicles that makes iSeeCars' fastest-selling used models list, as well as the top 10 selling new cars, selling more than 350,000 units in 2025. Audi Q5 Sportback Audi's Coupe-Inspired SUV Stays On The Market 0.6x As Long As Most Cars 2025-2026 audi q5 sportbackLuxury cars like the Audi Q5 Sportback are often more attractive as used buys than they are as new models. Nothing depreciates like a premium car, and a 2023 Sportback has already lost $16,000 from its initial MSRP of $51,000 in the last three years. Of course, with an annual maintenance cost of around $928, according to RepairPal, you might pay those savings back in repair costs, but it beats paying for that, and a brand-new MSRP. Tesla Cybertruck Tesla's Futuristic Pickup Takes 0.6x As Long To Sell As Most Cars 2026 Tesla CybertruckThe Tesla Cybertruck has proven to not be nearly as popular as Tesla had hoped. At one point, this truck was supposed to rival the F-150 as one of the most popular full-size pickups on the market. As it turns out, the car has a small, but very devoted fanbase. The pickup is still pricier than a comparable Silverado EV, which may be limiting its appeal to mainstream buyers, and pumping up its used sales numbers. Lexus ES 300h The Lexus Hybrid Flies Off The Lot In 0.6x The Time It Takes Most Cars To Sell 2025 Lexus ES 300hThe Lexus ES 300h is the first of three hybrids on this list, with two of them bearing the Lexus brand. The ES 300h delivers 215 hp from a hybridized 2.5-liter straight-four, averaging 44 miles to the gallon, which makes it more and more attractive in 2026, with gas topping five bucks a gallon in some areas. We expect hybrids to continue flying off the lot throughout the rest of the year. Lucid Air The Groundbreaking Performance EV Takes Half As Long To Sell As Most Cars 2021 - 2026 Lucid Air The Lucid Air, starting at 480 hp with a 3.5-second takeoff, is part of a new breed of electrified cars that offer supercar-tier power at a mid-range luxury car price. At the entry level, you can get this car off the lot for under six figures. Higher trims promise up to 1,234 hp and 0-60 mph times under two seconds. Three-year-old models are currently selling for like-new prices, given their relative scarcity, but we expect those prices to come down with time. Lexus GX 550 The Twin-Turbo V6 Lexus Sells Twice As Fast As Most Cars 2024 Lexus GXThe GX 550, introduced for the 2024 model year, is powered by a twin-turbo V6 cranking out a whopping 349 hp, with 479 lb-ft of torque. Just like the other ICE vehicles on this list, the Lexus SUV proves that you've got to go big or go home if you're not bringing any electrification to the table. For the record, we dig this mid-size SUV. We compared it favorably to SUVs like the Land Rover Defender in our initial review. It's actually selling for well above its initial MSRP at the moment, with our lowest price on record at $70,995, from an entry-level price of $62,900. You might want to wait a few years for the price to come down. Honda Civic Hybrid (Hatchback) The Civic Sells Out In Half The Usual Time 2025 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring Hybrid Black Rear Angle DrivingHas the Honda Civic ever had a bad year? The hatchback hybrid option has only helped the car to appeal to even more buyers, confirming a hot streak stretching across more than half a century. The 200-hp, 2.0-liter straight-four powertrain is assisted by a pair of electric motors. We're not sure if you'd call it a hot hatch, but its 6.2-second takeoffs and sporty looks are certainly appealing. Lexus RX 350h The Lexus Hybrid Sells Twice As Fast As Most Cars 2023 Lexus RXWe're surprised this one is available at such a low price, because a Lexus hybrid sounds like a formula for molasses-slow depreciation. And yet, a 2023 model is selling for $9,400 less than its initial MSRP.The entry-level RX hybrid packs a 246-hp straight-four engine, it's all-wheel drive, and the transmission is a CVT, so, two out of three isn't bad. You can upgrade to a conventional automatic six-speed with the 366-hp 500h F Sport Performance model. Tesla Model X At 0.4x The Average Time On The Lot, The Model X Is The Quickest-Selling Used Car Today 2025 Tesla Model X front, falcon doors openWith the announcement that Tesla is scrapping its groundbreaking SUV, we expect the car to become harder and harder to find on the used market in the coming months. Dealers are struggling to keep these in stock as is, typically selling them off in less than a month. The Model X may be the perfect used car for 2026. It's one of the safest and most reliable cars on the road, it's a roomy SUV that's almost impossible to tip over, used pricing really takes the sting off that $79,990 base MSRP, and you couldn't ask for a better time to go electric with an SUV that can go more than 300 miles between charges. All we can say is grab one while you can, because supply is limited.
