Jeep Mighty Forward Control Year: 2012 2012 Jeep Mighty Forward Control front, three-quarterIs this the coolest Jeep concept ever made? Well, it certainly is right up there. This is the 2012 Jeep Mighty Forward Control (FC) concept, a modern incarnation of the original 1956 Jeep FC. Based on a lengthened Jeep Wrangler Rubicon chassis, the concept is equipped with Mopar portal axles, King coil-over dampers, and massive 39-inch BFGoodrich mud terrain tires. The cabin is straight out of a Wrangler, but all the body panels are custom-made. The Might FC also has a bumper-mounted winch and a set of high-end spotlights.The Mighty Forward Control concept was one of the most capable and coolest 4WDs ever created. Pity it never made it to showroom floors. Jeep Trailcat Year: 2016 2016 Jeep Trailcat front, three-quarterJeep created the Trailcat in 2016 as part of the company's celebration of the 50th running of the Easter Safari. It comes with a 12-inch stretched wheelbase, massive 39.5-inch mud terrain tires, Dana 60 differentials at both ends, a 2.0-inch suspension lift with Fox performance dampers, and a 707-hp, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 straight out of the Hellcat performance car. But the Trailcat's biggest party trick is that the mighty V8 engine hooks up to a six-speed manual gearbox.The cabin also gets custom bucket seats and a bespoke roll cage. As with all Jeep Easter Safari concepts, the Trailcat is fully operational and capable of tackling Moab's toughest terrain. Jeep Shortcut Year: 2016 2016 Jeep Shortcut front, three-quarterThe Jeep Wrangler Shortcut concept also made its debut at the 2016 Jeep Easter Safari, the event's 50th anniversary. The Shortcut is modeled after the Jeep CJ-5, and it is more than two feet shorter than a stock Wrangler two-door. The Jeep engineers shorten the body by 14 inches, but the wheelbase remains stock. The bumpers are also modified, and the rear-mounted spare wheel is removed. The doors and roof are gone, steel wheels replace the stock aluminum pieces, fitted with 35-inch tires. There is also a restyled hood, retro grille, and a different tailgate. In the cabin, the retro-styled seats are covered in a plaid pattern. The back-to-basics Shortcut is one of the most capable 4WD concepts ever made. Jeep Quicksand Year: 2017 2017 Jeep Quicksand front, three-quarterIn 2017, Jeep's engineers came up with the impractical but glorious Quicksand concept. Based on the Wrangler, the Quicksand was effectively a highly capable hot rod, tailor-made for sand-blasting. So, the Quicksand gets a custom, roadster-like body, along with a Mopar 392 Hemi V8 crate engine. As part of the hot rod theme, the 485 hp V8 engine is fitted with an eight-stack injection system, poking through the custom hood. It also has custom headers with stubby exhausts exiting just behind the front wheels.The Quicksand is not only about looks. It gets a custom six-speed manual gearbox, a minimalist interior, coil-over dampers, and 32-inch mud terrain tires at the front, combined with 35-inch tires at the back. The wheels are mounted on classic 18-inch 'kidney bean' rims. Jeep Magneto 3.0 Year: 2023 2023 Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept front, three-quarterJeep's engineers created the fully electric Wrangler Magneto 3.0 in 2023. The electric motor has two settings: the standard, 235 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque for getting to the trail head, and the full-fat, 650 hp and 900 lb-ft for the 4x4 obstacles. The power went to all four wheels via a manual six-speed gearbox. Also in the mix is a custom suspension system and lift, specialized Dana axles, 40-inch mud-terrain tires, and a two-stage power regeneration system, resulting in one super-capable off-roader.The body is also custom-made. There are enlarged door openings, a repositioned B-pillar, a custom see-through section in the hood, a 12-degree raked-back windshield, and a unique painted finish. There are no rear seats, and the front chairs are decked out in blue leather. Jeep Cherokee 4xe Year: 2023 2023 Jeep Cherokee 1978 4xe Concept front, three-quarterThis is what happens when a classic 1978 Cherokee body is mounted on a modern Wrangler drivetrain, with a plug-in hybrid system producing 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The system consists of a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. This concept also gets 37-inch mud-terrain tires. An eight-speed automatic gearbox sends the power to the wheels via Jeep's highly capable 4WD set-up. The cabin is mostly a modern Wrangler, but with two custom bucket seats replacing the stock items.The second row of seats is gone, and a full-size spare tire lives in the loading area. It gets a Warn winch at the front, but getting this cool Jeep stuck would require a fair amount of driver, err, incompetence. Jeep Vacationeer Year: 2024 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Vacationeer front, three-quarterThe Jeep Vacationeer concept is a go-anywhere, camp-anywhere overlander based on the Grand Wagoneer. Decked out in classic spearmint green paint, topped off with a white roof, with wood-grain accents and a cream interior finish, the retro rig also gets a two-person carbon-fiber hard-shell camper on the roof. It is also highly capable, with a 1.5-inch lift, 35-inch mud terrain tires, a Warn winch, and laser fog lights.The Vacationeer is powered by the brand's Hurricane 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged inline-6 gas engine producing 510 hp. Jeep J6 Honcho Year: 2025 2025 Jeep J6 Honcho Concept front, three-quarterThe J6 Honcho concept started life as a four-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, so it came with the stock 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine producing 285 hp. The truck had a custom two-door body and a 6.0-foot bed box that was 12 inches longer than the Gladiator's bed. The J6 also got a vintage Honcho paint finish, along with a 2.0-inch suspension lift, 37-inch mud terrain tires, a roll bar with six spotlights, custom fender flares, and a front bar with more spotlights and a Warn winch.With the Rubicon's highly capable running gear and two locking differentials, the J6 could go anywhere. There was no radio in the cabin, and all-weather floor mats protected the carpets. Jeep Convoy Year: 2025 2025 Jeep Convoy Concept front, three-quarterThe Jeep Convoy concept gets its inspiration from military trucks and pays homage to the Jeep's origins. Based on the Gladiator Mojave, it has some cool upgrades. The Jeep is decked out in a special-edition matte paint, features a J-truck-style hood and fascia with a Warn winch, and has an SJ-inspired seven-slot grille with amber LED lights. It also has chocolate brown canvas half doors and a military-style top and bed cover. Custom wheel flares and 40-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires, mounted on 17-inch wheels, round out the exterior.It has military specification bed-lined floors and components, and the low-back seats are finished in brown leather. Jeep XJ Pioneer Year: 2026 2026 Jeep XJ Pioneer Concept front, three-quarterThe Jeep XJ was the world's first compact SUV that could also go the whole nine yards off the beaten track. That's why Jeep decided to give the 1984 XJ a modern make-over, the XJ Pioneer making its debut at this year's Easter Safari.The XJ is powered by the original, 115 hp 2.8-liter V6 engine, coupled to a three-speed automatic gearbox and Jeep's Command-Trac 4WD system. The three-door XJ receives a 2.0-inch lift, a disconnecting front sway bar, custom carbon fenders, bespoke wheels shod with 33-inch mud-terrain tires, and integrated structural rock rails. The interior remains standard and also gets some beaded seat covers, straight out of the 1980s.
