The 2026 New York Auto Show was surprisingly robust this year, with nine different reveals. Two of them were special editions that some may shrug off, but the rest were pretty big deals, with significant changes to some high-volume sellers and the surprise global debut of the Hyundai Boulder Concept that clearly stole the show. It was also heartening to see a thriving auto show after the low manufacturer turnouts for the prior two shows earlier this year in Detroit and Chicago. If you want to see what all was revealed in New York, keep reading for our full rundown. For this list, we only included vehicles that were new debuts for the North American market. There were other vehicles in attendance that we've seen before elsewhere (like the gorgeous Genesis G90 Wingback Concept), but they were identical to previous showings and weren't US-market specific. 2027 Volkswagen Atlas 2027 Volkswagen Atlas Live Image After 10 years on the market and multiple refreshes, Volkswagen has finally given the Atlas a full new generation. It still rides on the same platform as the old one, which means dimensions haven't changed (other than an extra inch of length due to the styling) and, as a result, roominess likely hasn't improved either. But just about everything else on the 2027 Atlas has improved. Outside, you get more futuristic styling that, especially in the rear, fits in better with the new design language we've seen with the Tiguan.Inside is an even bigger improvement, with nicer materials and more impressive ambient lighting. There are some familiar components, like the steering wheel with real buttons, thankfully, and the 10.25 inch gauge cluster, but the rest appears to have been redone. The biggest changes are the touchscreens, with a 12.9-inch screen on the base trim, and an impressive 15-inch screen on all the higher trims. It continues to run a 2-liter turbo four that does slightly more horsepower but slightly less torque than before, and unlike some competitors, continues to offer a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It'll arrive at dealers this fall, but there's no pricing for it yet. 2027 Kia Seltos 2027 Kia Seltos front three-quarterWhile the new Kia Seltos was already revealed a while back in South Korea, in New York we saw the US-specific Seltos for 2027 and got more info on the powertrains it'll offer here. The biggest news is the addition of a hybrid version joining the other two engines that are carry-overs from the last generation. We, unfortunately, weren't given too many specifics about the hybrid, other than the fact that it'll run a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder, a surprising six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and an also-surprising e-axle in the rear for its all-wheel drive setup. That last bit takes a page out of the Toyota playbook for increased efficiency.Otherwise, the styling radically transforms the Seltos from a sporty little crossover to a bold, baby Telluride. For those wanting to amp it up even further, the Seltos is now offered with an X-Line trim for the first time ever too. Inside, you get an impressive new interior with the latest Kia screen setup, nicer materials, and more room than before, thanks to the vehicle getting 1.8 inches longer on a 2.4 inch longer wheelbase, as well as getting an inch wider. The gas versions are coming very quickly, here in the second quarter of this year, but unfortunately, those wanting the hybrid will have to wait until late this year for that one to arrive. 2027 Chrysler Pacifica 2027 Chrysler Pacifica Front 3/4 ViewChrysler used New York to show off their mild refresh for their only remaining model, the Pacifica, for 2027. Admittedly, that refresh also included the reveal of the new Chrysler logo, which does add some impact to what was otherwise a lukewarm reveal. Despite having been last refreshed back in the 2021 model year, and being essentially the same van since the 2017 model year, the Pacifica crosses the 10-year mark with only a new front end and wheels to go along with that new logo. It's all pretty much the same otherwise, aside from a couple new interior color combos and safety features.Unfortunately, the plug-in hybrid Pacifica that was abruptly dropped at the beginning of the year doesn't seem to be making a return. Here's hoping Chrysler can snag the new hybrid system off of the new Cherokee sooner rather than later so they can better compete with the hybrid Sienna and Carnival. Ordering is open now, so it should begin arriving at dealers soon, starting at $43,490 for the revived LX trim that features the old styling. If you want the fresh look, that'll start at $46,540. 2027 Subaru Getaway subaru-getawaySubaru revealed their version of the three-row EV that was jointly developed with Toyota, called the Getaway. Styling-wise, it differentiates itself from Toyota's Highlander by incorporating Subaru's EV styling language front and rear that we're now familiar with from the Trailseeker, Solterra and Uncharted. Inside, the interior is basically identical to the Highlander, with a 14-inch touchscreen, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and good space in all three rows. Subaru is also offering a bit more luxury in their version, with it being the only one available with ventilated second row seats and even heated third row seats.Subaru is outdoing Toyota in the power department as well. While the Highlander only offers 338 hp, the Getaway is the most powerful production Subaru ever, boasting 420 hp and a sub-5-second 0-60 mph time. At launch, it'll be powered by the same 95.8 kWh battery as the Toyota, which Subaru says is good for about 300 miles of range, slightly less than the 320 miles the Highlander gets, due to its more powerful motors over the Toyota. A smaller 77 kWh battery will come in the first half of 2027 to help lower the starting price. Speaking of which, we don't know the pricing yet, with Subaru saying that will come closer to the start of deliveries this fall. 2027 Subaru Forester Wilderness Hybrid 2027 Subaru Forester WildernessSubaru also debuted the Forester Wilderness Hybrid in New York, and it's the first hybrid Wilderness they've done so far. It combines the new Forester Wilderness that just debuted last year, with Subaru's new hybrid powertrain that also just debuted last year. It uses a 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder and an electric motor to give you up to 35 mpg. There are no surprises otherwise. The only unknown is what the fuel economy will be. Based on the 3 mpg hit you get going from the regular Forester to the regular Wilderness version, our guess is the Forester Wilderness Hybrid will land around 32 mpg. Not very impressive for a hybrid, but it does give you an extra 14 hp, and has more capability than just about any other hybrid on the market. It'll arrive late this year, and there's no pricing for it yet. 2027 Kia EV3 2027 Kia EV3 (3)The Kia EV3 has already been around in other markets for a while now, we even drove it in the UK nearly a full year ago. But Kia is finally sending it to the US this year and provided most of the info for our version in New York. Unlike other markets, ours will come with an NACS port. The base setup has a 58.3 kWh battery and 220 miles of range. An optional 81.4 kWh battery will do 320 miles of range with the single front motor. All-wheel drive will be available for that one but no range estimate has been given for it yet. They did say those will do 261 hp, except for the sportier GT version that goes up to 288 hp. Unlike other Kias in America, this version of the E-GMP platform is a 400-volt system, so charge speeds will be much slower than the EV6, with 10%-80% charges taking between 29–31 minutes. Speaking of waiting around, American buyers will have to continue waiting, with Kia saying these won't hit dealers until late 2026. We still don't have pricing for them yet either. Hyundai Boulder Concept hyundai boulder concept livestream2The biggest surprise and biggest hit of the show was the Hyundai Boulder Concept. It's a body-on-frame SUV that's meant to preview a mid-size pickup truck that will be coming before 2030. Hyundai North America's CEO said, "They will be designed in America, developed for America, built in America, using American Hyundai steel." Aside from the 37-inch tires and what we can see of the frame and the solid rear axle, there's no mechanical details yet for the coming production model. It'll be a while, but once the production truck finally arrives, it's poised to shake up the mid-size truck game. 2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Appearance Package 2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Package front three-quarterThe Ford Expedition turns 30 this year, and to celebrate, Ford has rolled out a 30th Anniversary Appearance Package. It gets the unique option of the "Blue Ember" paint color from the Mustang Dark Horse, a "Salt Crystal Gray" interior, gloss black wheels, and plenty of 30th Anniversary logos. There's no word on pricing for it yet, but it'll be available for the whole 2027 model year. 2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 DG026_091DUADodge is celebrating America's 250th birthday with the Durango GT America250 Special Edition. It's available with either the V6 or the 5.7-liter V8, and adds in flag decals on the fenders, special stripes with stars in them (but only if you get the White Knuckle paint), Laguna leather seats with an American flag embossed on them, and unique red and white stitching with blue perforations. They also throw in a leather keychain.Sources: Hyundai, Subaru, Kia, Volkswagen, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford
