toyota grmn corollaThe 2026 Toyota GRMN Corolla takes the already serious GR Corolla and adds a shopping list of changes aimed at track use, including revised aerodynamics, more torque, retuned suspension, stickier tires, and less weight.Toyota says the car was developed using lessons from its Super Taikyu racing program in Japan, with durability and track performance in mind.Visually, the GRMN Corolla is easy to parse from the regular car. The hood is now carbon fiber and adds a horizontal duct ahead of the existing vents. The front fenders are also carbon fiber and include additional openings to evac air from the wheel wells, along with reshaped vents behind the front wheels.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe rear wing is also made from carbon and offers five degrees of manual adjustment.toyota grmn corollaThe suspension has been worked over with new monotube dampers front and rear, including rebound springs and revised bump stops designed for rougher circuit surfaces like the Nürburgring. Toyota also retuned the electric power steering and all-wheel-drive system, with changes aimed at improving rear torque distribution in a straight line and stability on corner entry.Power still comes from Toyota's turbocharged three-cylinder engine, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. Toyota has not announced a horsepower increase, but torque rises to 302 lb-ft, up from 295 lb-ft. The gain is concentrated between 4,000 and 4,600 rpm, where it should help the car pull harder out of corners.Toyota says some of the engine work was actually born from some of the work it put into its hydrogen-combustion GR Corolla race car, which it also campaigns in Super Taikyu. The GRMN also adds an intercooler spray system to help manage temperatures during repeated hard laps.toyota grmn corollaWeight has been reduced by 66 pounds, helped by the removal of the rear seats. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are standard, following their previous use on the limited-run Morizo Edition.AdvertisementAdvertisementInside, the GRMN gets model-specific sport seats trimmed in black and red suede-like material and synthetic leather. GRMN logos are stitched into the headrests, while the dashboard and A-pillar trim use a brushed metal finish intended to reduce glare. Carbon-fiber trim, red accents, and a Morizo signature logo complete the cabin changes. The 2026 Toyota GRMN Corolla will be built in Japan and sold in Japan, Australia, and North America. Toyota has not yet announced pricing, final specifications, or production numbers, though availability will likely to be limited.Become an AutoGuide insider.
