'Pray For Us:' Man's Check Engine Light Comes on During Road Trip. Then He Pulls Into AutoZone

A content creator is going viral for his 2003 Cadillac Escalade breaking down while on a roadtrip to make a surprise appearance on IShowSpeed’s livestream across America.

In a TikTok that’s generated over 112,900 views as of this writing, Tiki (@gooonki) shares how his roadtrip took a pitstop to AutoZone after his check engine light came on.

Trouble En Route to Seattle

“Check engine sign is on, not a good sign,” Tiki begins.

Tiki ended up having to pull over on the border of Oregon and Idaho at an AutoZone in hopes of getting a free check-up.

“We’re at AutoZone hoping to get a free check-up and the engine isn’t in too bad of shape,” Tiki shares.

Tiki is on the road to Seattle to continue his surprise appearance on IShowSpeed's livestream. IShowSpeed is currently doing a 24/7 livestream road trip across America, and Tiki has been following along on his journey. The avid fan has been making guest appearances on the IShowSpeed livestream, and Tiki is known as “White Speed.”

In one surprise meetup, Tiki shares in a post with IShowSpeed that he’s been living out of his Escalade, and it’s been having issues. “I’m literally so worried it’s going to break down, I actually don’t know how it hasn’t happened yet,” he says.

That day came while traveling to Seattle for another surprise meetup.

“We got seven more hours to go and I am concerned since that light is flashing,” Tiki continues.

The detour to AutoZone was certainly not planned, but Tiki remains hopeful and asks for support.

“Pray for us, god willing we make it. We just gotta keep going,” Tiki concludes.

Can You Get A Free Check-Up at AutoZone?

In the viral post, Tiki mentions that he hopes AutoZone will provide a free check-up to figure out what’s going on.

Turns out, AutoZone does run free diagnostics and troubleshooting for a check engine light. Autozone will complete a free report with the “Free Fix Finder” service.

This service only takes one minute for an AutoZone technician to diagnose what the issue is.

Additionally, AutoZone can test for emission readiness, oil life, oil levels, battery voltage, tire pressure monitoring system, and brake pad life.

Once the problem has been diagnosed, AutoZone can assist with what to do for the next steps to repair.

Commenters chimed in with their speculations on what the issue was with Tiki’s Escalade.

“Spark plugs or coils, flashing means misfire in one or more cylinders,” one suggested.

“If it’s flashing, you have a misfire. Probably just need to get the spark plugs changed,” a second said.

“Probably a misfire, flashing engine light means major miss in most cases and it's a coil pack,” another offered.

Why Is My Check Engine Light On?

When the check engine light comes on, it can mean a variety of different things, ranging from minor to extreme repairs, Edmunds reports. When this warning light comes on, it’s important to get it checked since it won’t go away on its own and can indicate a serious issue.

Every year, CarMD publishes a Vehicle Health Index report that features the 10 most common check engine codes. Here are the top 10 codes listed in the 2025 Vehicle Health Index:

  1. Replace Catalytic Converter
  2. Replace Oxygen Sensor
  3. Replace Ignition Coil and Spark Plug
  4. Replace Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
  5. Replace Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Canister Purge Control Valve
  6. Replace Ignition Coil
  7. Inspect for Loose Fuel Tank Cap and Tighten or Replace as Necessary
  8. Replace Fuel Injector(s)
  9. Replace Thermostat
  10. Reprogram Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

Replacements for these parts listed above can range from $28 - $1,347 to repair.

Did Tiki Reach His Destination?

Tiki didn’t share what exactly was wrong with his Escalade. But in a follow up post, Tiki reveals he did indeed make it to Seattle and appear on the livestream. Tiki is shown gifting IShowSpeed medicine, a gesture that was greatly appreciated.

“I got you a gift. I know you weren’t feeling well, I was gonna crash out today, but I gotta make sure my guy is right,” Tiki says.

People were impressed by his thoughtfulness and generosity.

“I’m now invested in having this dude recruited to speed’s squad,” one TikTok commenter said.

“W white speed,” another shared.

A third simply called him “King.”

Motor1 has contacted Tiki via Instagram and TikTok direct message. The story will be updated if he replies.
