These days, it seems like any automaker trying to prove itself in the luxury sector offers a personalization program. These customization services, such as Mercedes-Benz Manufaktur, allow wealthy clientsto build something unique compared to the other models on the dealer's lot.Mini doesn't offer the same level of opulence as Mercedes, but the brand wants buyers to consider its models more as luxury goods than as compact city cars. As such, the company has worked with "a devoted Mini enthusiast from the United States" to create a one-off John Cooper Works Convertible called the MINI.01 that highlights the personalization possibilities. The One-Of-One MINI.01 MiniThe custom Mini Convertible wears a two-tone paint scheme that mixes Midnight Black and a unique shade of metallic green. The asymmetrical design places the black elements on the driver-side front and rear fenders, as well as the passenger-side door.Other accents include the mirror caps with black-and-white stripes. When in place, the soft roof has a Union Jack pattern. The droptop rides on eye-catching 18-inch JCW Rallye Spoke wheels in dark gray with metallic accents. The body also gets JCW front and side winglets. A unique MINI.01 badge is on the trunk lid, and there's a "MINI SUPER SPECIAL 001" decal on the front fender.Inside, there's a mix of dark blue and black leather upholstery with contrasting stitching. Some trim, including the seat insert, button trim, and speaker housings, matches the metallic green elements from the exterior. More MINI.01 badges adorn the cabin, too."This custom-crafted John Cooper Works Convertible represents a fantastic collaboration between the Mini product and design teams, the local market, and Plant Oxford production.
