First Look 2027 Mini Cooper Heritage EditionMiniDespite its German ownership under BMW, Mini remains built in and closely tied to its original home of Oxford, England. With the 25th anniversary of Mini and its legendary hot hatch being sold in the U.S. coming up, the brand is launching a special-edition Cooper S hardtop called the Heritage Edition. It is a proud tribute to Mini's British ancestry, with Union Jack graphics appearing throughout. It's just a shame it doesn't come with a year's worth of Yorkshire Tea given the price.With the launch of the fourth-generation Cooper, the lone survivor of the three-door hot hatch segment has continued to grow in size and price. The 2027 Cooper S with the Iconic trim and Comfort Plus package, which the Heritage Edition is based on, starts at $38,250. Adding the Union Jack–themed details raises the price by $1,620, bringing the total to $40,620.What you get for that extra money will make you look like a proud Brit. The most visible additions are the Union Jack decals on the hood, roof, and hatch. Those decals are also why the Cooper S Heritage Edition comes standard with a white roof and mirror caps and is offered only in Chili Red II or Indigo Sunset Blue Metallic.AdvertisementAdvertisementAlso included is a crossed Union Jack/checkered flag badge to the right of the license plate. Joining the theme are blue, chrome, and red center caps, plus Union Jack valve stem caps fitted to the 18-inch Slide Spoke wheels wrapped in summer tires.MiniInside, the Cooper S Heritage Edition greets occupants with Union Jack graphics on the door sills and special floor mats with a Union Jack on one side and a checkered flag on the other. Mini has also said that this will be available in limited quantities but didn't offer specifics on how many were allocated to the U.S. except that it will be in "the low hundreds."
