Nissan calls it a “disruptive” new style. The all-electric Nissan Juke EV looks nothing like the gas-powered crossover and more like a concept. Nissan unveils the first all-electric Juke EV Nissan unveiled the third-generation Juke EV at its Vision event in Japan, a key piece of its updated long-term comeback plan. Since launching the first model in 2010, over 1.5 million drivers in Europe have chosen Nissan’s unique compact crossover. The third-generation Juke still has that unmistakable design while introducing an all-electric powertrain for the first time. “JUKE has always stood for bold design and a willingness to challenge convention. With this third generation, we are bringing that spirit into the electric age,” Clíodhna Lyons, who is the regional vice president of product and marketing at Nissan AMIEO, said during the event. The all-electric Juke is based on the same CMF-EV platform as the new Leaf EV and will be built alongside it at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK. Like the Leaf, the Juke EV will be available with two liquid-cooled battery options: 52 kWh or 75 kWh. Nissan has yet to announce specs, but the 2026 Leaf EV offers up to 436 km (271 miles) of WLTP range with the standard (52 kWh) battery, while the extended-range (75 kWh) version offers up to 622 km (386 miles). The interior of the new Nissan LEAF EV (Source: Nissan) While Nissan is keeping it under wraps for now, the interior is expected to look similar to the new LEAF with dual 14.3″ driver cluster and central infotainment screens (shown above). It will offer vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, Nissan said, enabling the vehicle’s battery to store energy and feed it back to the grid. Nissan will begin trial production at its Sunderland plant in the coming weeks, where it will join the current Juke HEV, Qashqai, and the new LEAF EV. The all-electric Juke EV will go on sale in spring 2027, joining Nissan’s growing European EV lineup, including the new Micra, third-gen LEAF, Ariya, Townstar LCV, and “a new A-segment EV.” We should learn more, including battery specs, range, and other technical information closer to launch.
