More than 2,000 cars fill Modded Detroit season opener There was a long line of traffic entering the venue northwest of Detroit, in Oakland County. Once people parked, they quickly found themselves immersed in a myriad of vehicles. Modified cars, muscle cars, classics, trucks, EVs, exotics, sport bikes, motorcycles, your average grocery-getter, you name it, all were parked together in unity. As cars exited the event many drivers revved up their engines to impress the bystanders. They had a bit of fun making noise, but there were police near the exit of the venue making sure no one was doing burnouts or hard accelerations. What is Modded Detroit? Modded Detroit is a car community based in metro Detroit that hosts events that focus heavily on modified cars. Whether it's performance upgrades, lift kits, widebody kits or vinyl wraps, a wide variety can be found at the group's shows. While modded cars are the forte, the group is open to any vehicles interested in joining the community. If it has wheels and moves, then it can be seen at Modded Detroit events. The official website says: “Whether you bring a showstopper or your daily driver, every build and person is welcome.”
