Manthey Marks 30 Years With 911 and 718 RacersManthey RacingManthey is making waves this week, as Porsche just announced it's taking an expanded 67 percent stake in the racing team and tuning house. On top of the organizational news, Manthey is also revealing two new race cars meant to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Say hi to the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR 30 and 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30.Manthey RacingStarting with the 911: This Manthey race car is based on the 992.1-gen GT3 Cup and modified for even greater performance. The most exciting powertrain move is an increase in displacement to 4.2 liters for the flat-six, as in the 911 GT3 R; output sits at 552 horsepower now. Manthey paired this increase in power with an increase in cooling and aerodynamic performance. It boasts a new front splitter, additional flics, and a new rear wing with enlarged end plates. Fresh lightweight forged wheels done in a unique 30th anniversary design save 8.4 pounds, and he suspension has optimized spring rates and modified kinematics both in front and rear. From an appearance perspective, the MR 30 has a "30 years of Manthey" badge and is done in white and red, as a tribute to Manthey's traditional colors. Even the chassis is painted white, as a reference to historic Porsche race cars that did the same. Inside, Manthey embroiders anniversary lettering into the seats.Manthey Racing"Both cars exemplify the way development takes place at Manthey: driven by specific customer requirements and motorsport projects," said Nicolas Raeder, managing director of Manthey Racing. "They were not created to celebrate an anniversary, but for use on the racetrack. The fact that we are now able to offer the results of these two development paths as limited-edition special models makes them a particularly fitting way to conclude our 30th anniversary year."Manthey RacingAs for the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30, this Cayman-based car is no slouch. Just like the 911, its aerodynamics are heavily revised. It has a new splitter with additional flics, and a redesigned rear that features a new wing and carbon diffuser. It also has model-specific wheels that reduce weight by 12.6 pounds; Manthey manufactures them in-house.Manthey RacingThe wing end plates have "30 Years Anniversary" logos on them, and there's a "30 Years Manthey" badge on the exterior, too. Manthey keeps the appearance consistent by finishing the exterior in its signature white and red dress. The same anniversary lettering as the 911 is embroidered into these seats, as well. Both of these Manthey race cars will be offered for sale, but they'll be scarce. Only 15 examples of each will be produced, and orders will be accepted until October 30. Manthey didn't provide a price, but says the 718s will be delivered as soon as November this year, while the 911s will reach owners in the first quarter of 2027.If You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
