Lamborghini Gallardo Restomod Unveiled With 600 HP And A Gated Manual Gearbox

Tedson Motors has unveiled the Etna, a restomod based on the Lamborghini Gallardo. This project breathes new life into the supercar, which Lamborghini produced from 2003 to 2013, combining classic design with modern performance upgrades.

Restomods typically focus on vintage cars, blending old-school aesthetics with contemporary technology. However, Tedson's choice of the Gallardo, a model discontinued just over a decade ago, challenges this norm. The Etna retains the Gallardo's iconic silhouette but introduces significant enhancements.

One standout feature is the extensive use of carbon fiber, resulting in a body that's 450 pounds lighter than the original. The car's width has been increased by 2.36 inches on both axles, improving stability and road presence.

As the model that saved Lamborghini from financial ruin, the Gallardo is easily one of the most recognizable modern supercars on the roads.

High-Revving V10 And A Manual Gearbox

Under the hood, the Etna houses the familiar 5.0-liter V10 engine. However, the tuning firm from Croatia has massaged the mill to deliver 600 horsepower and a thrilling 10,000 RPM redline, surpassing the standard Gallardo's output by as much as 100 horsepower depending on the model year. Drivers can choose between Lamborghini's own E-Gear 6-speed automatic transmission or opt for a gated 6-speed manual.

The suspension system has been overhauled with a custom JRZ "ProActive" setup, tailored specifically for the Etna. Complementing this are 19-inch AL13 R-Series R110 wheels, designed with a custom offset to fit the Etna's widened stance.
