Kia has launched a major second facelift for the XCeed crossover. The update adds a 12.3-inch digital cockpit and EV-inspired LEDs. Production starts May 29 with gasoline and mild-hybrid options. Kia might have discontinued the Ceed Hatchback, Sportwagon, and Proceed in favor of the new K4, but the XCeed is not going anywhere. The crossover hatchback has received its second and most substantial facelift, bringing it on par with the rest of the Kia lineup in terms of design and technology. The XCeed originally joined the Ceed family in 2019 serving as a high-riding alternative to the traditional hatchback and bridging the gap between the Stonic and the Sportage SUVs. The crossover received its first facelift in mid-2022 with mild styling updates and more electrified powertrain options. While its main competitor, the Ford Focus Active, has been axed, Kia isn’t ready to say goodbye to the Xceed which is why they introduced another update for 2026. More: Kia’s Biggest Hit Is Finally Coming To Europe, And VW’s Best-Seller Is The Target Visually, the XCeed adopts the latest styling language borrowing cues from Kia’s EVs. The highlight is the redesigned face with vertical LED headlights, a much slimmer tiger-nose grille, and a larger bumper intake with aluminum-style inserts. Overall, the new fascia looks more similar to the EV3 and the recently facelifted Stonic than the ultra-aggressive K4. The greenhouse and the sheet metal on the profile are carried over, although the XCeed has gained more modern alloy wheels and at least one new shade. The rear end has also been redesigned with full-width LED taillights, a sculpted tailgate, and a more rugged rear bumper with an integrated skid plate. The interior of the XCeed had started showing its age, but the second facelift brings notable changes. The overhauled dashboard features a modern digital cockpit with dual 12.3-inch displays borrowed from the rest of the Kia lineup, along with a line of revised physical controls and simpler climate vents. The model has also received a two-spoke steering wheel and a more stylish center console. Finally, the white seat upholstery of the pictured example has an interesting pattern, with matching inserts on the steering wheel and door cards. Kia has yet to detail the powertrains of the facelifted model, but confirmed it will offer gasoline and mild-hybrid options, likely meaning that the plug-in hybrid won’t be returning to the lineup. The crossover will also benefit from “improved ride comfort”, probably courtesy of a revised suspension setup. European sales are expected to commence in the coming weeks. Interestingly, the facelifted XCeed will co-exist with the new Seltos that has just arrived in Europe occupying a similar space in the lineup, albeit with a more SUV-like stance.
